So after being off the game for some time now I've noticed the exp my veno's herc gets is only around 15 exp per kill.
Was the rate always this low? I can't say I've noticed it before but with my veno being level 65 and my pet only 60, it's getting more difficult to keep my pet level close to mine. It doesnt help with the x2exp being on and my pet just keeps getting farther behind since it doesn't get affected by the x2exp. :/ Does any one have anyway to keep my pet level up or is this a common issue?
I'm sorry if something like this has been posted already but I didn't find anything when I looked through the forums. Thank for any help.

    yep, it's the curse of veno pet leveling.
    however, they recently added a 100+ instance in which you can get exp for your pets.
    you only purge once #yopo

    Base pet XP is and always has been 10 XP, modified by pet loyalty (Tame gets base XP, Loyal, 501+ loyalty, gets 150% XP; Wild and Savage get considerably less XP) and mob level (subtract 1 XP from base per level under pet.)

    The canonical method of catching pets up is Cube of Fate room 4 (Mice Bashing) where there are numerous level [?] mobs that are one shots for anyone who can enter cube (they only have 10 XP), and only give 1 XP to the player character (2 XP during 2x), but full XP to pets.

    Aviax,from lv1 to lv40 around,go to scorpion valley,there is a small group of scorpions that can be aoe'd with noxious nova.Your pet will be 4x in like 30 min or less.At that point if its air you can go out of Raging Tides and kill worms lv(?) for again full exp .Alternate solution if not like Cube,is near Starry Wilds out of Tellus.There is a location called Savage Fields (316,268) that have lv(100) mobs called Aurora beast with 100 hp only but elemental immunity.Just target mob and send pet for kill.Need a few patience but eventually you ll lv your pet while you have a wonderful walk in PWi nature!
