    because?

Because instead of taking care of boting around different zones, they nerfed them. Thanks god i could take advantage of them before nerfing. At lvl 60+ there is a point where you need a lot of money to: Slowly maxing your skills, getting matts for TT (Or even buy TT set made) and higher pots and repairing fees (At that point theres no more free daily charm)

and introduced the jones quests which provides lowbies with the necessary money.

I tend to agree with potato on this one. The problem I have always came into is having enough spirit to level up all my skills not coins. It is not till the 90's till you are generating alot more spirit to max out your skills by the time you hit 100. Running to much frost can nerf that ability

Yes, because people really need 900+ dex or 1000+ magic just for the lulz

so according to potatohead jolly jones makes up for dq nerfing, i find that hard to believe considering from time i was lvl 20 (before nerf) in a day I would have roughly 600k-800k in just dq drops, from doing quests and grinding. jolly jones at lvl 25 i believe gives just under 200k if you do all 6 bounty's that day....so 200k is equal to 600-800k according to this potatohead.....this is why I do not listen to anything this see you next tuesday has to say!

I agree with you Salari, but thats only because I always did a little CSing here and there, so spirit was more of a drawback than coin. I still didnt get quite caught up on all the basic skills until I was 100.

I think Jolly is terrible for the player, and terrible for the game.

My 3 level 45 toons did Jolly repetative quests (literally repeating the same 2 or 3 quests over and over on each toon). They fought nothing, so nothing educational as far as learning skills go.

You get brain dead and computer drunk after doing the same 2 or 3 quests over and over 21 times. And all for something like 220K total. It may cover repairs, but its going to do very little to keep anyone up to date on skills.

I invested about 2 million from my main to get them as far as their cultis would take them. There is no way I could do those 21 boring quests on a daily basis - I hardly made it through 1 day.

If you grind you can keep it interesting. You can change the mob, the scenery. You have an opportunity to also learn about your skills first hand. You might team up with someone else grinding and share a social moment, form a bond, make a connection to encourage you to keep playing.

Idk why people talk about it so positively when it seems to me to be something I'd rather take a trip to the dentist for, than have to do it again.

Just my opinion - no one has to agree. b:thanks

i agree if jolly jones was removed i probly wouldn't miss it.
I have a "friend" that has 4 lvl 70-80 toons, all he does is log them in each day to get the bounty's, then he does something against the rules, all 4 toons are in one squad, (not encouraging this) like once a month or so and does all their bounty's in one day....make a lot of free coin, of course after a certian ampunt of time he has to dump the xp into a genie so he doesn't out lvl jolly jones.

For anyone claiming botting is no big deal and people should do it, please remember that this rule is still in effect:
No promoting the violation of Terms of Service or any of these rules.
Solicitation of violations is, in and of itself, a violation.

For anyone claiming botting is no big deal and people should do it, please remember that this rule is still in effect:

What I find deplorable is the mods on the forum care more for the forums and the rules being adhered to on said forum, moreso than PWI, its GMs, and those with whom we SPEND money with, care about their game. The ToS with PWI is an absolute joke and and making the players stick to it is the WORST I've seen in fifteen years of playing MMOs. I know it can be difficult to prove botting, however all it takes in some cases is the visual approach. That and for the most part the Core Connect ID is just a string of numbers or random letters. But you know what? That's ok, I think I'm quitting the game soon anyway. I've spent quite a bit of money on the game, and while I have enjoyed it for the most part, the lack of ToS adherence is abysmal/shameful/terrible.

PWE, not that any employee reads this, but, I think you spread your employees way too thin, and have too many games for those employees to enforce/work with. I think you bit off more than you can chew, and in the long run, might lead to your demise. I know I am not the only current or former player to say if a new release has anywhere written PWE in its description, stay far and away.

Yeah I know, I can see it coming....don't let the door hit me on the *** on my way out. And to answer the question, no you can't have my stuff.

I care about bots, but even in one of the worst F2P/P2P games that ever had an issue with them, I preferred to leave it to the game to regulate them. I dont believe any game will ever be truely free of them.

There's another very popular game, involving disc downloads, that has macros built right into the game - similar to the way PWI allows you make macros (not that they work now that 'interrupt' is a big part of boss/mob fights). My one macro I made for my mystic rarely worked anyway, cause it contained AS and would get interrupted even before we had everything interrupting us - but, I digress. People technically botted in that game 'legally' to a point. Never saw anyone cry about the bots on their forum, or in guild chats or whatever. They really didnt mess up anything cause it was the players, and not commercial gold farmers doing it anyways.

In short, Ive seen bot hating, as well as player hating, literally destroy games. I personally blame the fact this game has no one playing full time during the week hardly anymore - or, off hours. I can expect to make sales on the weekend only - when the TWers log in for NW & TW, most times; but, even that is hit or miss.

Meanwhile, I see tons of non-bots in Hell farming. I can tell cause they are racing me to the next herb or mat instead of following a macro only. Sometimes they try to use a mob to kill me thinking they will run me off. But, Im a mystic thankfully, and we just dont naturally pull alot of aggro unless we have Storm Mistress out.

Seems logical to me that supply is much higher than demand based on the number of legitimate farmers alone.

Report bots sure if you suspect them, but dont be one of those nabs that only logs on to chase other players and mess with them cause we is "bot-hunting". Just like the first game I mentioned, that could be the coup-de-gras for PWI, which already seems mortally wounded to me.

If they ever open up a "Reporting Academy" on these forums - that will be the day I definitely run from this game, screaming like a school girl.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhggggggghhhhhhhhh! :O b:chuckle

I love any game that only requires/allows me to report SPAM. <3

This quote here reminds me why I left. You can try all you want to try to fix this game. You can submit tickets all day, make threads trying to adress problems and do your best to try to get the gms/devs to listen. But in reality, they really don't care and could really care less about your experience ingame. Bots are just one of the many problems with this game and its only going to get worse. The sooner you quit the happier you will be. I quit this game and don't regret doing it. I also happily convinced dozens of people from touching games from pwe. As they are a trash company in my opinion.

I farm Hell too. I also AFK while doing stuff around the house. Im farming R9 so Im doing whatever I can to make coin to put toward it. Having already put the "Farm R9 in a few weeks" theory to bed - it aint happening, being in Hell whenever I can is something on my schedule of tasks most days unless my inventory is backed up.

I always see 2 sins working together to kill mobs in a little valley in there, and one day while AFK I returned to my PC to find one of them saving my life.

If you have by chance been reporting me, feel free to stop - but Im not a bot, or using anything other than the traditional click method of farming, and neither are those two sins.

A perpetually broken bot sounds seriously funny to me. They obviously didnt make out with that toon for the past 4+ years. xD

Hopefully folks focus more on getting their farming done than they are policing other players.

    b:thanks

I been playing over 4 years now & all i got from farming is 3 parts of my R9, but most of it i did solo.

Farming is time consuming but i just keep going & eventually i MIGHT be full R9 by the year 2059 lol
