So I've decided to play my veno as my main again. I'm wondering what i should do. I'm level 73 so i cant roflpwn all the r9s3's, but i can still assist. Now, I do have hercules and phoenix pet. Can some experienced venos give me some pointers and tips?

If you want to get as many tokens as possible:
Just get in and out of battles fast. Visit as many as possible and maybe sometimes help a little bit if you find a smaller and interesting battle.
If you want to assist your nation:
Join in a squad with other players. Focus on doing the things you can do at your level: buff your allies, debuf your enemies. Be aware of where are allies and enemies on the map and try to stay under the safe cover of your allies.Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.0 -

As a level 73, your damage is [no offence intended ] going to be rather negligible; however you can still help your team by purging and amping hard to kill targets, and by passing chi to higher DD teammates. Also, brambling people [especially arcanes] is pretty nice; however if they're already buffed I'd suggest not rebuffing over as theirs is probably higher level. XD
As for pets; I'm not sure how useful they'd be as most people would and could oneshot them, costing you perfect cookies. However the nix does have the default stun skill which is nice, plus bleed is usually good on arcane targets; though again the damage may not be worth summoning your nix for.
If you've got any more questions feel free to pm me I'm not exactly top geared myself so I generally stick to these and do okay.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

My Phoenix has Howl and I find it much more useful than Flesh Ream. Unless you can guess the AA player has low defences, the bleed won't really do that much. A debuff can cause more problems to said person.
It's probably for more personal use though and for that level you won't deal much so I could also suggest other things like Slow, Shriek even Pierce if you happen to be in fox form.
That's just something to keep in mind; not necessarily need to follow.[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

Very good point about the debuffs, I honestly didn't even think of them.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

My suggestion is, find the lands with the least amount of players on them, especially crystal capture maps. Even if it's you vs 3+ enemies, you'll still make good contribution if you lose. Better even if you solo a land and win it. You can potentially do an entire NW and see very few people.
Make sure your genie has holy path and/or some speed pots (if you're in a faction with a base, do some Jolly Jones quests and buy some speed pots from there).
Otherwise, do your best to purge enemies, try to stun, and pass allies chi, especially barbs/bms/archers with flags. Also find AFK people to attack; there will be plenty of those around. Don't be afraid to die; take as much damage as you can, die often, and never go back to the same battle once you're kicked back to base. Join as many battles as you can as fast as you can.
I would also suggest not using a legendary pet for you at this point in time, since they'll die a lot and cost you a lot in pet food for little reward in the end. Have a fast regular pet with maxed debuffs or slows, something you can feed water to. My suggestion would be a Frogling; it's actually quite nice in evolved form at 100 too (its evolved skill is pretty), so you can keep it around long term.
Just make sure you participate in at least 3 winning lands.0 -
I'm only lvl 85, using TT80 LA gear (I love my LA build, it's useful for my play style) and no legendaries. I die constantly, so I try NOT to be wearing charms when I go into NW. :P However, if I'm lucky enough to get attacked by someone close to my level, I can stand my ground (or live long enough to run away).
But my typical NW routine when playing with my fac in a squad is Bramble, Purge, Amp, Myriad (if possible), die, repeat. I might not be the best veno out there, or the best geared, but I still pull in a fair amount of tokens. And i have a blast doing it. So low lvls like us can benefit from NW, just accept that fact that you will die. A lot. Like, really, a lot.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

+1
NW is the best scaled instance in regards of profit; everyone can earn a lot as long as s/he is willing to fight and die. and it's not like you stop being an oneshot even at 101 with g16+10 to some people :byou only purge once #yopo0 -

Ye the thing i kind of dislike though is that it is mostly screwed by people giving up most of their profit by using a charm.
It happens so often that i fight some HA class. I hit them for like 3% of their health. No worries, i got friends with me ! So you're with 5 people all hitting the HA guy and one of us is cleric and hes actually keeping us a live and the guys HPs go down !
It doesnt matter, if you cant kill him in less than charm cooldown there is no chance
But ye thats of course nothing to do with NW specifically. I just dont like charms.Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.0 -

Erm yeah..
If there's 5 of you beating on a dude with a cleric practically setting up BB, and the bm's calling out a HF order and that **** still ain going down.. lol maybe its more than the charm. Maybe its a huge gear difference. Like r9rr +12 JoSD vs tt99 Ijs.
But when that same dude goes up against a AA r9rr +12 he may need more than a charm mag def charms and prolly butt tonne of skill or he will get roflpwned.
Everythings relative. b:cuteDarkSkiesx - Demon Archer

Ye until all of a sudden you die, wonder what happened, look at your damage log and see:
"nation war xxx psy deals 12843 dmg"
"nation war xxx veno deals 10732 dmg"
It just that, you could have had a nice battle where you could have actually won, but you cant win, you can at best keep fighting until his friends arive. For points its good of course, but i also like the feeling of having a fighting chance sometimesEverything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.0 -

Of course it is gear difference. But thats what i mean. 5 low geared people vs 1 end game geared duded. It would be nice if we have a chance to win and we would if it werent for the charm.Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.0
