I'm level 92 and i'm in search of my demon skills. I've ran across MANY people with the skill Energy Leech but I don't even have the regular skill, is this skill even worth having? Whats said "boost" that it gives you?

Energy leech is like a personal vacunity powder. It's useful in both PvE and PvP.
At level 10 it gives 6 seconds of imunity to stun and freeze.
As well as set bonus depending on which of your summon you leeched.
Devil Chihyu for example, it's 100% extra physical defense and 25% more crit at level 10.
Leeching Storm Mistress gives magic attack and defense. Salvation: shield that absorbs 4000 damage as well as 4500 HP Falling Petals.
The extra physical defence or magic attack does make a difference. The summons are there to support you. You should get it. Now.When all else fails play dead - You got teh zombie balls b:chuckle

Yes it is.
You can probably read on your summons's skills what energy leech does, but if you don't have than lvl11 yet you can check on Ecatomb.

Honestly an equal gear mystic can just tank every other class with pet leech. The buffs also last a whopping 20 seconds. Not many really know how to use that one spark in pvp in addition to petals and spam heals. If sage, 9 second anti stun. you just need to buy some room with knockback to cast it, or pop the lvl 79 skill for 50% dmg reduce for 8 sec that paralyze u, but anti stun prevents it, then you can juke. All this for 1 spark and 30 chi.b:chuckle0

It's also nice to stow your summon, so you don' t have to be one of those annoying mystics blocking npcs. b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You are pulling the "Fail Card" way too quick. Before one is well into level 100 they hardly ever have enough Spirit to have every spell and to level it, even if they have enough coin.
Later, as the Mystic is not their Main (if they are lucky), they deny themselves spells and levels to save money. Well into level 101 there is more than enough Spirit to make one a 'fail' if they dont have every basic spell and have not leveled it yet.
Below 100 its not a fail not to have tried everything at a Mystic's disposal, although I will give you that just reading what Leeching will do for you should be enough to inspire one to get the spell, but the OP still has plenty of time to grow and learn (provided their Avatar is displaying their current level, and they are not power-leveling)...ijs. *wants a 'shrugs' smilie to place here* b:chuckle0 -

have every spell and level it yeah. but how can someone not at least learn lvl1 of a new spell asap it's available!? new flashy animations! I don't think that there are spirit issues around 8x, it's more of a money issue thenb:shockedyou only purge once #yopo0 -

I had Spirit issues right into level 100 (was long ago now), but I ultimately agree with you. The only way to learn all that stuff is to keep getting it and working on incorporating it into one's game play. b:victory
But, we all have our favorite spells too, lol. And, one might opt to keep building those up before adding something new to the mix - Im not saying thats the perfect way to play a Mystic, but its a way Ive seen over and over again, nonetheless. b:pleased0 -
Well energy leech USED to be pretty pointless for pve...but w/ the recent'ish buff making it more mana efficient to re-summon than refill a pet's mana pool it kinda makes sense now to put energy leech into your rotation...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I replied to the 7th topic on the 1st page of mystic forums, and got reported for necro. Plz save mystic forums.0 -
As I recall, Energy Leech worked for the Anti-stun, whether you had a summon out or not. Which although it doesnt make it the end-all 'shizzle my nizzles' for PvE, it was/is still helpful on certain bosses.
Dont feel your point is lost though, that Transference thingy used to drive me nutso, drain all my mana so I can use my summons spells, after I meditate and drink pots to get my mana back! E-gads! How did we ever survive playing the char to endgame with everything you wanted to do, or needed to do (i.e. putting single res buffs on everyone in your squad) draining your mana?!! b:shocked
It must have been fun, anyways...*chuckle*0 -
People learn constantly, there's no one that know everything.
A lot of mystics have no clue how to play their class even at lvl100+.
But, energy leech is a skill that can be learn at lvl49 and usually people are curious and learn all new skills at least at lvl 1 as Potato said.
Plus the skill description say what is does. I can understand that some people don't know Ecatomb or what's the difference about demon and sage, but by now people should be able to read their skills description in game.
If she don't know what energy leech is that mean she never did read her summons's skills description either, cause it says on each of them what leech do with them, BUT people lvl so fast in that game now (even without power lvl) that I can understand that they didn't had time to learn everything and know everything.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Not really. DPS-wise it's still better to save that spark for triple-sparking even if you resummon your pet. In PvE it's only useful for its antistun or to increase your def if you're tanking.Youtube channel: youtube.com/user/FDB190 -

It must be nice to have so many people on one's server that people can afford to act like complete big headed babies, and instead of nicely answering questions, can afford to just tell the kids, noobs, peeps with English as a second language, and P-levelers to basically uninstall with the projected attitudes toward them.
That's awesome! Im so very jelly of a server with so many players, one can afford to discourage them from playing. Seriously, I am...b:shutup0 -
Or just Leech mistress--IG for 12 seconds of roflstomp time--assuming someone is dumb enough to sit there and tank it.Channels

Before 89 and triple spark, leeching mistress > cloud eruption> double spark> rapid growth is a great attack boosting combo. in the end the total boost may only last 8 seconds, but that's enough for 3-4 Nature's Vengeance, and while it may be a bit weak still, can't deny that it can still pack a decent little punch with over 15k at lvl 70-80, iirc. Depending on the mob. On bosses though, especially bh 51+, I'd leech chihyu, rather than mistress, as I often had bm in squad, and could pull off some really nice crits, for that level.0
