It is a pile of coins. One coin doesn't make much of a pile now does it?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

This is a major problem. I think the game is imbalanced, dying, unfair, nirvi should be fixed, servers should be merged, and the world should be at peace. b:laughR9s3 Beast w/Demon Facepalm0

Now that's another word that can be plural w/o an s. -Solid, liquid, and gas at room temp as well. b:victory0 -
Coins is the proper English term when an amount is given, ie 78 coins. Coin can also be used as an uncounted noun, for instance 'I found a pile of coin' or 'I recieved some coin from the bank.'
So really, PWI put it correctly as it has a numeric value in front and can be either 1 coin, or 213 coins.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -
But it can also be a pile of coin can't it? The in game currency is coin or what we call money: not money(s). It's also kinda synonymous with loot or loot(s).
My intention with the thread wasn't to invoke corrective action; I'm just curious to see what other people perceive as correct or better.
I know I'm not the only one that's felt it weird to see coin(s) over a pile.0 -
When giving an amount, coin is correct for a single coin, coins is correct for any number over 1, and coin(s) is correct either way. When not specifying an amount, coin is correct for any amount, coins is correct for any amount over 1, and coin(s) is correct either way.
So, really, it's easiest for them to just mark it as "coin(s)".Current: http://mypers.pw/1.8/#133167

Some people get R93 and become another cookiecutter DD, other people get R93 and get called out as serious threats. At some point, it's just not about gear anymore. - Qui
