once in a map make players stay 5 minutes minimum to get reward points
(unless killed 5 times)
each battle takes longer than 5 minutes anyway
players just pop in and out of battles to accumulate points and most are alts

Agreed, If anything I'm sick to death of them popping in and porting out and skimming the points off of me and all those others who actually stay for a fight...b:thanks
If Its not bad enough to be skimmed off of by late comers to the fields towards the ends in those fields heading in and magically dropping you 4 or more places on the ranks & rewards for the field (And then magically taking those spots ahead of you) while they did practically nothing to win it for your side) even though you were the 1 who opened the field up fought all the way through the battle had died 4 times during it while having killed 6 others in it (I once actually planted both flags in the original NW map, while soloing without allies on the field while also fighting off & evading 3-enemies in the meantime, and died alot too {but also killed them alot to take the win} and then within 20 seconds of my planting the second flag had 6 others finally show up on field from my side ~,~' and remarkably ended up being listed as (7th outta 7) for points and rewards >>(Which is also Total BS btw.)((b:infuriated))
And now we all have these TELE'Tard BABIES popping in and out of the fields to deal with and their nerfing of our rewards even more & **** us out of our just rewards for our efforts (PWE) needs to get their heads out of the dark and into the blue of reality and together with (Wanmei) figure out a way to stop this field credit litching BS thats always going on by the exploiters...b:surrender
"Maybe they should put in a participation timer & activity program, that can identify the excessive field jumpers from their lack of time in the fields and their total lack of combat times on said fields and then boot those characters from the NW for the first time that they're caught doing it and then for everytime after that they get caught after that, put ban times on those characters and maybe even a full NW 'lock out' for those characters and even those accounts that continuously do this BS (Depending on the severity of the violations that the exploiters are caught doing)"

+1 for this thread- it's HIGHLY annoying, people popping into a map and then popping out, just to land lock a nation.
Waste time and player resources as we then spend the next 10 minutes capping an empty land.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

NW has it's flaws but the popping in and out of maos just hurts the whole team, which is why i think flame wins 90% of the time on dreamweaver.0

One of a plethora of reasons I gave up NW. Just not worth the time and effort any longer. While part of the blame is wanmei for not thinking things through before implementation, but also the greedy idiots that find loopholes with most things implemented.

If all they're doing is popping in and out of battlefields, they aren't earning any supply tokens, regardless of how many points they accumulate. You must be in a winning battle, or fight for a minimum amount of time, to earn any tokens.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Sadly not true they wont like me saying this but me and a friend tested this theroy. He jumped from instance to instance ocosanly getting into one that was about to finnish so he got a few wins. He did this most of NW.
I did NW normally and was in a few high profile fights but for longer.
the Results: He got more tokens and not by a few either. the Differance was aprox 15 more. We where both in squad and both in the same Nation.

I do think something needs to be done about this, but not that. We've all seen what happens when you had no choice really but to deal with spawn campers in an effort to not get based without any contribution. Blocking suppy lines also should be a part of map strategy. The problem isn't that people can leave, it's that they can leave too much. The smaller map will probably fix this problem all on it's own, without having to resort to this type of thing.
If it doesn't then perhaps if someone leaves too many battles in too short a time period, then they get based for 20-30 minutes. The chances of them getting into three terribly one sided and un fun battles in a row would be pretty slim, so say hopping to three different lands in less than 3 minutes perhaps. Obviously battles won immediately after you enter shouldn't count toward that, as that is easy enough to do on it's own.
Or maybe that is also a bad solution. :P Whatever solution implemented should have minimum impact on legit players.
They also should fix it so that doing literally anything, like capping a flag, will automatically give you a higher rank than someone who did nothing. Regardless if their refines/level/etc are higher than yours. It is absolutely ridiculous that I can do all the work towards a victory, and someone popping in and out can still get ranked higher than me even though they did nothing.0 -

Yep i agree the calculations should be different. As it stands, having been in every battle you can be in (for 2 seconds) seems to be the best strategy and that should be changed.
However, it is also not as bad for your team as it may seem to you. Being in every battle only 2 seconds is not something that is reasonably possible so i dont think many people take this to the extreme, i supose many would do like i do. That is, you enter a battle and make an assesment. If it is a battle that will either be obviously won or obviously lost, you leave. If it is close and you can make a difference you stay. This way you will indeed be leaving most battles immeadiately but you are doing what is actually best for your nation.
In my first few NWs, i used to join a squad. This meant that the battle i was in always had at least 10 people of our team in it. Usually there are more than just your squad. This results in all those all too common 20v5 battles. It is bad for your score and bad for your nation to have all those people wasting their time in 1 battle. This is why i stopped joining a squad and play my NW solo after having squaded for 2-3 times. It is good to have the formulas do something to keep discouraging this overkill as well.Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.0 -
having a 5min rule is a bad idea. for ppl like me who actually try to help our nation, we enter a battle that could be a 11 points enemy to 0 points us. if we get in and immediately they get that last flag carry into the area we lose. we dont get points for at least going and TRYING to help??Servers: Archosaur(PvE US West) and Harshlands (PvP US East)

In flag battles, digging flag > killing, damaging or taking damage... Capping > digging. Add support on allied flag carrier or damaging/killing an enemy flag carrier should be secondary to the digging and capping.
In crystal battles, digging a neutral crystal > killing, damaging or taking damage... Digging an enemy crystal > digging a neutral crystal.
In bridge battles, damaging/killing towers > killing, damaging or taking damage involving enemies.
Also. Levels, soulforce, gears, etc should only come into play to give r9rr full josd/deitied with all +12 less contribution verses damaging/killing and taking damage from lesser enemies... and visa versa... Lesser geared players greater contribution verses damaging/killing and taking damage from higher geared enemies.
Last but not least. Just entering a battle gives less contribution than any of the above aspects OR potentially 0 contribution unless any of the above occur.

poping in an out of nation wars is a problem so are alts people logging in on 2-3 accounts so no matter what nation they go too they always getting something if the GM's would stop an add the numbers up the total amount of ppl in your nation by counting the people in the maps an base doesn't add up to the total the game says nation wars is very flawed0

This would help nothing. People would rage because they enter a battle and it becomes a 17v0 and they cant leave. That would be ridiculous. Not that many people do it anyways. I dont complain about it, I just do my best to win the maps with the active players I have. ALSO, people who just battle hop will not get tokens because it requires combat time + wins+ caps. So even if you see it happening, more than likely they are getting 0 tokens.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

They are eating into your tokens, it happens pretty much every battle, and most of them are smart enough to play for a least a small amount of time so they get their battle time.0 -
Try being a weak assed cleric, soloing the enemy towers on bridge battle. Watch your team number jump over and over, from one(you) to three and back down again to one, with no one coming to assist you. Now imagine yourself realizing you wasted your time and resources, before the enemy shows up and kicks your solo *** over and over again, only to see in the end that you ranked 21 and got **** for reward.
Yup, that's tons of fun!
Hearing better geared peeps whine how their strategies have suffered is rather funny. I'm lucky if I obtain more than 60-70 tokens after NW, despite my efforts to support(buff, heal, pury, DD) and die for all nation members. They complain if they don't get over 200 b:laughb:laughb:laugh0
