weapon shards garnets vs elemental dmg

what is better to add on weapons for sin , garnets or elemental shards of the same lvl. which type helps more in dealing dmg?

    Consider this:

    elemental shards only add exactly what they say they add: a pitiful amount of elemental damage

    garnet shards add to weapon damage and are multiplied by your (dex/150)*mastery, are multiplied into weapon damage portion of skills

    You have condensed thorn for CC through phys immune and water damage

    Now go npc those elemental shards or sell them to some fool that can't multiply

    Elemental shards, also known as the poor man's way to fail in sharding (the rich man's is DoT/Deity :b)
    you only purge once #yopo

    Not everyone. I see G16 weapons sharded with them funny enough. I've learned that those types are incapable of re-learning.

    Every time I see DoTs in a weapon, I know the person playing has absolutely no idea what they're doing and, if I'm lead, tend to kick them out of squad immediately.

    When I don't have lead, I simply make a mental note to avoid saving that player from the screwups they generally tend to cause despite their gear.

    Lol. One of Sanctuaries 'best' (should be read as overgeared) BMs had 2 x DoT in his r9 axes forever. I tried to politely suggest a garnet would treat him better and a DoT gives about the same damage as an average grade 5 garnet, but he took the advice as rude, told me they were "better for pk" and swore me out. That combined with his evasion ornies made me avoid him for years, lol.

    Some people can't take advice and therefore wont learn.

    If you're going to shard DoTs in wep, then atleast shard it for the sexy blue glow and not more dmg b:laugh
