where is thicket in dmg category against tempest or black ice dragon strike , while considering both users are having same gear same refines and same skill dmg . which skill would deal more dmg ( i think black ice dragon strike would win , but just wondered how big the difference in the dmg between might be )

I have yet to be impressed with Thicket's damage. It's more of a control skill.

I hate thicket, for the simple reason that unless your target is on completely flat terrain you will likely get 1 or more or the plants missing entirely due to getting stuck in the ground.

And while it IS technically AOE, only the main target is going to be fully hit most of the time.

So as a control skill, especially for 2 sparks, its very sad. Unless you are hitting a flying target or in RB its pretty much a gamble on it doing what it says on the tin.

But when it DOES land all 4 plants on something its decent enough damage.

Probably my own personal favorite use for it is pretty much one shotting the adds on WS earth boss.

    Thicket lvl 10: 1200% max weapon damage + 6500
    BIDS lvl 10: 500% weapon damage + 9648.9 + base magic damage
    BT lvl 10: 2x (200% weapon damage + 3860.4 + base magic damage)

End-game base magic damage is the highest factor in a skill's damage output cause of how high magic can go. And also since Thicket takes only half your attack lvls into consideration and it can't crit, it doesn't come close as damage to BIDS/BT.
