Skill discussion: Sublime Transfusion

Okay, in an attempt to get some intelligent discussion (*cough*) going on the mystic forums, let's talk about skill usage. Today's topic is Sublime Transfusion.
This is the skill obtained from AEU that is an upgrade of the Transfusion skill from Luminance. The lower level skill is pretty bad, and I can't think of much reason to use it. But the upgraded version is pretty darn good.
What it does: Targets an enemy and puts a debuff on them that drains their healing. For 40 seconds you get 20-40% (depending on soulforce differential between you and the target) of all their heals, including their guardian charms.
Limitations: It costs one spark, and doesn't affect enemies more than 5 levels above you (which is a PVE only limitation as you can't learn it until level 100 anyway). There is also a glowy line between you and the target (similar to Transference), so people who are paying attention can see that you're the person draining them.
When to use it: The best application is against a tanky catapult-carrying barb in TW. Not only do you make them easier to kill by reducing the healing they are getting, the sheer amount of healing you get from them is enough to keep you alive through most anything that doesn't one-shot you. This frees you up to DD however you want without spending time healing yourself. You also don't have to even stay near your target, as once activated you can move up to 45 meters away and still keep it going.
Another good use is against a tanky flag carrier in NW. Also if you're in a stalemate with a single charmed enemy that you can't kill in NW, try it out. Let their charm work for you instead of them.
On Sanctuary at least this skill goes for no more than 3m coins (and costs 5m to learn like all AEU skills). I recommend picking it up if you've been ignoring it.

I gotta admit I didn't know of the reduced spark cost o_o That makes it a pretty nice skill to upgrade and use on tanky people, indeed. Time to learn
As for selling, eh. Seems like you can't get rid of it lol I even got mine as a gift xD[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

They reduced the spark cost for it at the same time they made AS do 1.3x damage. That made the skill good since I really didn't think it was worth something before with 2 sparks. But now it can be viable to use against any tanky opponent with a charm since their hp will basically take a 10-20% of their hp "hit" right after their charm ticks. I imagine it would also be good to use against clerics since it cannot be purified.Youtube channel: youtube.com/user/FDB190

This is a very situational skill- It really depends on your gear/ your battle/ your team.
If it was 30 chi instead of 1 spark i would use it a lot more.0 -
I started using it recently (before i wasn't sure about the usefulness and the cost was two sparks) and it can really be useful in some situations
You can't be sure just by reading the description but if you're used to face the same opponents just test to kill them with or without using the skill. On 40k+ HP barb it can really help a lot ! In fact it might even be the only way to kill some huge barbs in 1v1...~ Sage Mystic 105-105-105 ~

its absolutely beautiful if you run into a super vit barb with massive hp and a charm. Slap STransfuse on it and call in the gank, barb gets the everloving hell beat out of him and he heals you in the process, so when his buddies show up to help save him they can't kill you short of a one shot lol0

One more thing I noticed is that if you die, the skill will sometimes keep going if you rez on the spot. It's not consistent though; it usually ends with your death.
I'm guessing it "ticks" every few seconds and searches for a target. If you happen to rez before it ticks, the skill will keep going.0 -
Tbh there are really only two bad things i can think oft when i use this skill....
1. I cast, It ticks, Person dies.... I don't think r9r3 +12 people should die so easily but i guess i really only use it in TW/NW and multiple people attack the barb/op....
2.I cast skill and person runs away from me to kite off the effect.....0 -

Isn't that the wanted effect though? lol

45 metres range. Plusif it's barb, he's most likely got a cata so he won't be that fast lol

can this skill be purify ?
because i try to purify the cleric version and it doesn;t, lol.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I usually immobilize the mystic then holy path back to break the skill... it really is very annoying. Thankfully it has a decently long cooldown.
I have a few questions about the skill though.
1) Can more than 1 mystic sublime transfusion the same target?
2) If yes to (1), how much hp is taken? If mystic A takes 20% and mystic B takes 20%, does the target lose 40%, or is it more complicated than that?
3) If yes to (1) and (2) is it possible for several mystics working together to completely negate somebody's charm based on %s adding up to 100%?YOUTUBE CHANNEL:

That's a good question, i'll have to round up some mystics tomorrow and find out.0

I tested it-
if a second mystic casts sublime it breaks the first line.0
