If you look closely, SweetieBot's server statuses include latency. Likely she's pinging the servers to check their status, which normally would be accurate during a server shutdown. It's safe to assume the maintenance they're doing has only disabled logins, but that the servers themselves are still running during the switch while things are being synced up.0
