Hello fellow clerics I turn to you as I am in a bit of a bind. I'm looking to abandon my cleric. Why?
Well being a cleric wasn't exactly something I intended it was made out of a necessity and unfortunately I somehow found myself trapped in this role. While it has given me great awareness among other things such as the appreciation for clerics and their hard work it's not a role that fits me. As such I've been thinking about going back to being a veno if I couldn't ever learn how to pvp, making an archer; even though thanks to NW there seems to be a big influx of them already however I'd challenge myself an go Sage or making a Psychic since to my knowledge they are quite rare; however I feel they're a bit too predictable when it comes to pvp. Also somewhere on this list is a mystic but they're a bit too busy for my liking an require a lot of micro management.
As such I turn to the clerics who have found themselves in this position at one point or another. How many coins did you sink into.your cleric before realizing it wasn't the class for.you? Idk maybe I should hold out a bit longer an wait till I hit 100? Or at least attempt to learn how to pvp as one before turning a blind eye?
Some help would be niceb:surrender

If you don't like cleric, then don't play it. If you like veno, then play that instead. Also..
making an archer; even though thanks to NW there seems to be a big influx of them already however I'd challenge myself an go Sage

lawl. Going sage on an archer isn't a challenge. The combos are still pretty much the same regardless of culti. It's just up to playstyle.

idk. Just find a different class you want to play.

Check out my youtube channel to see some of the things clerics can do... I don't know, perhaps wise to delay decision till you've done a bit more, not sure if PvP is your thing, but a cleric can do pretty good in 1vs1 and ofc is essential in group situations and TW.

I started off as a sin and my main is pretty much cleric now in terms of PvP, and you don't want to know how much I've put into this character, because even I don't want to know!

I play all 8 of my Lvl 100+ classes for BH100 rewards almost daily. I rolled most classes specifically for buffs (alt box). I also hate playing cleric particularly because of some other players, but at times love it also.

I wouldn't abandon: Get an account stash stone. Veno are great dd, but are an expensive class (if done proper). Mystic are great dd, and tank, but also a healer class. Wiz aren't great for PvE but if you want PvP; ignore that. Psy are nice, but have exclusive weapon. Cleric are one of if not the most demanded classes for PvE making it easy and quick to get into a squad.

If you don't mind occasional healing, and you aren't a lazy player: I'd suggest a mystic.

Depends on what you like more : Mage hitting like rocks or high crits. Sounds simple, but thats someting that works. Or better, think of those important things you DONT like while playing a cleric. What exactly do you prefer? I think playing a cleric on a pvp server really means you should love that class xD But if you dont like it, just start over. If you try out a wiz or Psy, or even veno you could share the gear. For Macros psychics and wizard are really great xD

I lvled 2 clerics the old way to 101-102 and I was good at it, but got bored of healing while heard other class say ''Wow I did 500k crit on that!!!'' so I wanted some fun by DDing.

Since clerics on my servers are not really good pure DD class like wizz wasn't for me so I want for mystic and really enjoy it.

Just play something you like, it's a game to have fun. =)

more you like your character = more time you will spend on it = you will learn skills/gear up = be good at pvp

so my only answer is : stop wasting time on class you don't enjoy and play the one u enjoy most and fits your playstyle best and then it wont matter how many archers are there in game - you can learn to be better than them, it wont matter how much u suck at pvp with veno - you will learn it with time.

I made a cleric as none of my other friends wanted to play support. I put lots of time into it, and then they stopped playing PWI. I didn't really enjoy it much and have never considered myself a good one, but the faction needed more clerics for TW so a cleric-ing I went!

Eventually I got bored with a role I didn't enjoy and I made an archer. I never really looked back :3

When I'm sick of playing babysitter on cleric I'll try different things.

I wanted to tank BH SoT with my cleric, so I made a squad and took a mystic and no one else in squad that could tank. At the boss I went UV and after erupting immediately started debuffing and dd'ing it. The Mystic picked up on it right away and it was a fun success.

Lunar runs tend to be easier on Clerics if they're all ranged runs. It doesn't hurt to keep an alt Barb logged inside for buffs.

On BH Metal; I tend to duo with my veno so I don't end up waiting for slow in the head pullers to do their job, or wonder why venos don't pass sparks.

I've also become pretty laid back on cleric. My other toons don't need a cleric right on top of them at all times. I let the poorly geared dd's know that if they want to go around aggroing everything; they can pot their way out of it; just by not healing them. If I can more efficiently dd and tank than heal them: that's what I'll do.

Never abandon a toon unless u have royal messed them up and Do not want to pay to fix them. My cleric is my highest toon at 101. Shes my precious but there are times where i cant stand to be on her at all. Normally i have about two weeks of being heavily into my cleric than ill switch over to my veno so i can begin to miss my cleric. But as i have one of each class above 60 now cuz of me getting sick of a class... i always go back to her tho. Sage/demon does add an expensive but awesome spin to the game.

Thats an important point here, you should pick a class you think youre willing to go back xD

I started with a mystic lvld to 70, then played seeker to 70. I got jealous of clerics and then played cleric to 80, but i got annoyed by fail-fc squads and wanted a tanky char. So i made a barb to 70 cause i thought i could solo more. When i noticed barb is the only class i really fail at, i made a sin for soloing. But when i saw YT Psychic r9+12 Videos i wanted to be a Psychic.
When she was 60+ i thought "mmmmh wizzies are nice as well" and i made a wizzie and a bm to duo PV, along with a veno because i wanted a HA veno. My main chars were changing a lot xD

So now most of my chars are between 80-100 and i had spent so many months bringing them up although i always knew i usually prefer Archers in any game. I took like 2 Years to find out that my main should be an archer xD And i enjoy it and always go back to him.

However my point is, play the class youre really enjoying and dont change your main too often because you saw a pro r9 barb in Arch or because a wizzie oneshotted you or because you think your class is UP xD

Nobody was saying clerics were OP (ever, as far as I know) but I liked playing cleric and stuck with it. I'll tell you this, you'll do better on a class you enjoy playing and practice on a lot, then by jumping onto the bandwagon of the 'op class' and thinking that'll magically cure your class' deficiencies. It doesn't really. I personally have enjoyed pushing the limits of what a cleric can do, breaking through all expectations people have of my class. Can do that in any class I think. Anyways yeah, pick for enjoyment... remember folks, its a game! Have fun, don't stress.

    Cheers,
