can't launch arc

Hi
When i downloaded arc i tried to run it it worked.. download like 60% of pwi with stops(turn off arc and back) but now i cant launch it at all.
im using windows 8. arc wont run but ran before.
when i try and open arc nothing happens
anyone have solution? would appreciate.
tried looking up why it is like that didn't get the answer.
who help me with this i give 1m coins on sanctuary

    4. I clicked the 'Install' button for a game but it has been loading for a while. Why isn't it downloading?

    Usually it takes a maximum of a couple of minutes (depends on your network speed) to initialize the downloading. If it takes too long, the download engine may have been disconnected, throttled, or blocked. You should:

    1) Exit Arc.

    2) Go to Start menu -> All programs -> Control Panel -> Uninstall Programs. Right-click on the "Pando Media Booster" and "Akamai NetSession Interface" listings, and uninstall them. Then download and reinstall the engines from both of these links:

    i tried compabilty mode install with windows 7 and xp sp 3 as well as trying launching it the same way with administrator mode stuff. Arc doesnt Wanna launch still.
    i tried reparing it with the sp 3 xp mode ,installng with windows 7 mode and installing, but its being all weird....

    i would'nt be making a topic for this if i find something named like ''cant launch arc win8''.. but thanks for link. and ok that cant help me because there is no stuff likke this that my windows 8 cant run arc anymore even tho it worked good for first few times and i almost had the game ... after waiting longggg..........!
    if i knew it be like this i would not delete pwi from my parents lappy which ran it abit slow but had all upto date(no arc files) working game :)), but now its :(( because its otherwise with no game folder and cant even get it oO [wanted to free up space on second storage disk to save parents items(movies stuff) and have some space from that massive space taking game PWI,like 10 gigabytes(deleted screenshots,who wants my acco****? cleric g16 with Magical Shackle and most demon skills full Mag +4(cape+5) UP TO -51%or less abit dont remember. wanna play it so bad. with my psy damage lever on same account like 115 and def like 105 lvl LOL(joke ofc :) )).all i want is to get back on my accounts with demon hf bm and cleric+psy sage:) freaking mystic is about 87 aswell but to coin worthy for making it all demon/sage(just any 89+profession on all class is expensive ofcourse but ahh:))) still, same account for g16 armors so be nice to get game working ............
    funniest is that i delete it just like under a week before i really want it on my own laptopus :) +++ ;[ thinkking that why i need it... freaking need those 7 gigs of pwi now really

    if anyone have problem like me with windwos 8 not able to launch arc, cant launch arc windows 8 , arc wont launch windows 8 . after working before few times. help please. if u be on sanctuary we have some duels for fun with my nooby g16 psy or cleric and i give u 2million coins :P
    i dont wanna reinstall windows for 7 or xp,i want to keep it original win8 for the Momentooooo because i never used the system recover proper to make it back to its defaults. but so i saw some stuff on internet that it might be good idea making my own gaming windows(7/xp gaming optimized cd which is my choice) becuase internet say to me once that original laptops are stuffed with bunch of lods of junk. but i never know how to recover it if i want because i dont care.

    ARC basically sucks they're removed the other methods of Downloading PWI or any PWE titles
    I guess you have to almost fight with it to get PWI.     b:sad

    Sure id like to get a refund for something better that run Borderlands 2 more smooth lol 3 talent trees like in wow but its first person shooter with lots of classes, dual AK47, assassins, sniper,mines,inventory ,stuff wth oO

    i make small propaganda here that i play natural selection 3.2 (just NS 3.2 or just NS, not NS2) and ok.. thats all or not, half life mod that few years ago use to be times more popular and now theres barely any people playing even though the game is greattttttttttttttttt and only 300-600 not installed MB(steam 10 euro)

    nearly have downloaded wowowow, wonder if i be bothered playing it at all... because of NS and dark messiah multiplayer non steam 1-2Gigs

    Hi i have the exact same problem!!!!! I've been able to download arc completely but now everytime i try to open ARC it just wont open!!! Please could someone help!!! i have windows 8 too!!!! I so want to play but i just can't cause of that >.<

    9/10 times it's because you aren't running Arc or the client as admin, and don't forget to exclude the client/Arc folders from security software Scans. (Win8 comes with it built-in.)

    For anyone still trying to figure this out do the following.

    1. Go to...
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Perfect World Entertainment\Arc

    2. Look for the file "ArcLauncher.exe"
    Right click and and select "Create Shortcut"
    The shortcut will go to your desktop.
    You can right click the new shortcut and select rename and change the name to "Arc"

    3. Double click it and it should start up.


    (I've dealt with this problem and many similar problems with other programs)

    Not only did you double-necro this thread, but your "fix" is just creating a new desktop shortcut exactly like the one already on your desktop that was installed by the software in the first place.


    I've got some skillz kiling zombies, but We'll need a Mod to close this one out.....
