unable to select character

I keep getting timed out at the character select screen and it takes forever to log in, WTF is going on, 6 hours ago i was on perfectly fine and my internet connection is also perfectly fine as i tried my other online games, so pls give me advice on how to fix this, if not from my end from your end as i am losing gaming time during 2 x exp/spirit/drops.

    I have had the same problem just now. Logged out of my boyfriends account after making a toon for a friend. Then logged onto my account to do some interviews for my faction. Been at the logging in screen for 5 minutes now.
    Is anybody else having this problem? Never happened before to me in particular.

    nevermind not 30 seconds after posting this it finally lets me into the game, but i had been trying for like 45 minutes to get on.

    Still going on for me.. Allowing me to log into my account but cannot select characters as they have not loaded.

    Sweetiebot, report server status please.

    UPDATE: now ive been allowed to log in too. Im sorted :)
