Since everyone here loves powerleveling so much and im just powerleveling my new demon barb right now and my partner is taking a break, so i decided i should make a little guide about it b:laugh
Level 1-70 can be done multiple ways. You can do it in FC, but that is not what i chose to do.
I prefer zhenning, a convenient 2 hours AFK....
So this is about 70+ FC leveling.
Optimizing Hyperstone usage.
You can activate only 1 set of hypers per day. you can also activate your set of hypers only 10 times per day. To get the most out of this, on one day, you want to use 30 minutes with 10 activations of one set. Then start a new set and again use 30 minutes with 10 new activations leaving the last 30 minutes for tomorrow. This way, you have each day 1 hour of total hyper time with 20 activations. Very important not to pause your last session !!!!
The most efficient ways to use your hypers are these:
-The famous exp room: 4-5 minutes, 1 activate. 10% @ lvl 94
-Solo the last hallway with mellee mobs, 5-6 minutes, 1 activate. 12% @ lvl 94
Soloing the last hallway
The exp room is of course known to everyone. The second options i dont see being used very much and wanting to share it is the main reason i write this post as it actually provides more exp than that damn exp room !
I started doing this from level 90 with full TT90 gear. Probably it may be possible in the 80s too, but it will not be comfortable. It is best to buy a spot or room from a sin who cleared the instance so that the mobs are all there for you without any bosses or glacial shades. You want to kill all the mellee guys in the last hallway and bossrooms while hypered. Ask lead after the exp room is done and everyone is leaving so that you have the instance for yourself. You first need to make your way to 3 sets of mobs with a bisshop in them. earthflame pull the bisshop first, then the remaining 4 you can handle together.
You do the mellees in 2 pulls or you will get resets. First pull includes the 2 groups in the middle room and everything before that. Second pull is all the remaining ones including those 2 groups in the final room.
The pulling and killing goes like this:
1) make sure you have chi for invoke, bloodpaint, your own buffs and preferably cleric and/or BM buffs.
2) pull the mobs
3) at the end of the pull, use holy path to make some distance so they dont hit you too much while you cast invoke.
4) Cast invoke and bestial rage.
5) spark - sunder - human form - armageddon - slam - holy path. Put them on your skill bar in this order to make it easy.
6) The mobs are not yet dead now. This is why we ended with holy path. Your invoke is running out now so its time to RUN ! Holy path maxes your speed anyway, so swiching back to tiger can be done after you got away.
7) when bestial rage cooldown is ended, activate it and stand still for just a fraction of a second so part of the mobs catch up and hit you, but not too many of them. eat crab to heal the damage. Stop a few times like this if needed to get 2 sparks again.
8) when invoke cooldown is over, cast holy path again to make distance and go back to 4)
With lvl 10 bestial rage and a tiny bit of lag, you may not get off all your skills. In this case you may want to choose to skip the spark so you can still do armageddon. Anyway, you probably need to do the whole invoke, aoe, run things 3 times now probably. With lvl 11 bestial rage, you will get killed the mayority in 2 invokes. Regardless, i usually start my hypers while running after the firs invoke-aoe thingy.
The second option is to do this while running with a high level friend. You can be in squad with him no problem as long as you are far away from him, he is not counted in the exp calculations. So what i do is this: I make the pull before bisshop boss and run them back out to the hallway. The high level then goes for the bisshop boss. I start killing the mobs. Each time i have to run, i run back further away from my high level friend. By the time i am done killing these mobs, he has killed the bisshop boss and the glacial at the next door. Now i pull all the mobs before SLASH and we do the same, i solo the mobs in the hallway while he kills slash. I do not pause my hypers between this. You may even keep them running when you are done with these 2 pulls to hyper the exp from the last boss and then after you teleport, the 2 groups in the small room before you enter the big one.
Using extra activations
The above methods use about 5 minutes of hyper time per activation. But we have 20 activations per day and 60 minutes. So that means when we do 12 of those, we have 8 activates remaining but no time. To get the most out of those activations you want to do a full run with players your level and below. Depending on the ratio of time/activations, you can either just use the hypers for a few seconds only when the mobs in the last hallways are being killed and the last 3 bosses before the room are being killed or you can combine the pulls with the bosses using a little more time but less activations.
Using extra hypertime
Sometimes for whatever reason you may want to use a lot of hypertime with little activations available.
In this case just run with your high level friend and activate the hypers when the second boss is about to die. Keep them running until you reach the exp room. Pause them while getting your squad (selling spots) or maybe even keep them running and have the high level kill mobs for you while you quickly get together some people to help kill the heads.
Using them at maximum efficiency, doing on one day 6x solo pull 6x room and 1x full run to use remaining activations, you get about 1,5 level in a day in the early-mid 90s with only 7 FC clearings. While if you just do the room, you get to use 12-15 FCs with your 1 hour hypertime for the same or slightly less exp.

Good post. For a side note, crab meat can only be used for 75+.R9s3 Beast w/Demon Facepalm0

btw this can also be done with a seekeryou only purge once #yopo0

In a 24 hour period you can actually get 30 activations and 2 hours of hyper time, since killing old hypers and starting new ones give 10 fresh activations. So 10 on your first set, 10 on your second set, then 10 after your hypers reset at 5pm server time.
Holy pathing at the end of a pull isn't necessary. As far as I can tell mobs run around 6 m/s and barbs run 8.8-9.2 m/s so you should already be creating a distance cushion to invoke with your latent run speed. Even the mobs that slow you in the magic room have to stand still to slow you and so you outpace them eventually. Better uses for genie are solid shield (can extend invoke to basically last 30 seconds) or Tangling Mire. Tangling Mire has two real purposes. 1. To kill mobs quickly before your invoke wears off and 2. to glitch mob evasion. PWI has a glitch the pdef reducing skills eliminate mob evasion also, so even a 60 dex barb can arma and hit 100% of the mobs.
One other thing worth mentioning is the mobs right before xp room (after you've killed claw boss you transport to xp room entrance. Those 3 groups at the xp room door) are worth very decent xp and can quickly be added to the claw boss hyper activation.
As a claw barb, or for any 80/90 barbs who duo with a fast sin, my preferred way to do this was kill the second boss and then clear up to the Bishop boss hallway, then go back for the third 'Jailer' boss. Start my activations right before he died, then sprint my pull to the Bishop boss leaving hypers running. A fast barb, or a sin/barb combo can do the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th boss, and exp room entrance in about 6-7 minutes and all mobs in between. Then I paused for harpies and the optional captains in the mob groups (smart to kill when still in your 80/90s) and then did the pull+heads which was another 4 minutes, then sprinted over to the Decaying Fragrance. She gives as much exp as the exp room boss, but it glitches and doesn't show the full amount in your xp bar. Since your hypers are already running and she's right there its really nice to add her on. All in all its about 12 minutes of hyper time for me now at 102, obviously more with a slower squad.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -
Ye we improved it now, i kill the mobs, he keeps the bisshop bos redlined till i come to him, then again with next mobs and boss. And then the last and that tiny room before exp room. Can all fit in one sessions or sometimes more if im short on time but high on activates.
Now that i think of it, maybe i should take agro on the boss and let him take distance to get the solo kills on bosses too New plan for tomorrow
How much is that jail boss worth ? I always skipped him.0
