Evolved pet bugs

Hello guys,

I will try to explain some problems that i find with the evolved nix.

1. Defend mode do not work correct. --> I am in PK mode and i ask one friend to come outside Archo and to hit my pet (Not me, my pet). After my friend hit my evolved nix i was expected to see my nix to start to attack, BUT my evolved nix just go next to my friend and do NOTHING.
So if someone attack your evolved pet and the pet is in "Defend" mode, the pet do not start to attack.

2. I revive my pet, use all buffs and i go to morai with the "Teleport Scroll : Shroud", my pet was in "Auto" mode and when i start to fight some mobs in morai i realize my evolved pet do not use the Fresh Ream, skill that i was set to auto. I change Pounce to be on auto and same result. My evolved nix do not use it. I invoke my nix again and the problem was fixed.

SO when you guys invoke your pet and after that use any type of teleport is recomended to invoke the pet again. This will prevent some possible glitches.

3. This bug/feature is SHAME! -->I am in PK and my evolved nix is next to me. Pounce is on auto, so if someone attack me my nix will stun the enemy and i will have time to prepare for counter strike, BUT the enemy is in the air(For example archer in the air) and what happened? My nix do not go to counter attack, because i am on the groud, so my nix is only ground pet. SHAME!

BTW points 1 and 3 are tested with Monkey King too.

    1 and 2 are old bugs. 3 may be too if it applies to mystic summons.

    i have all same bugs as you i feel same way i feel the up date when back wards on the veno pets not forwoods and sucks 4 me i have other veno i was making on same acc and now my nix cant be acc stash we pay over $100 and it not acc stable that is soo lame .

    all the nix is now to look cute it dus nothing cant even fly when it a flying pet soo lame. f:fume f:fume f:fume

    I also notice since expansion and since I evolve my herc, that when you load a new map, get teleported the buff disapear.

    I can't say for all the teleport, but I tested this in morai whit the missive group quest. Outside the herc is buff, I go in, no buff.

    Is this a new game play strategy to make veo forget, lost time or is this a bug !

    Also evolved pets gets full damage from some skills
    confirmed example: cleric skill mark of weakness 1 shot every evolved pet

    Mark of Weakness was updated when Sirens of War arrived to bypass bless buffs. This is simply a symptom of that update.

    Also, defend pet mode should make the pet defend when you're attacked, not when it is. If this is changed somehow by PK/PvP, I wouldn't be aware. I don't PvP on my veno at all.

    Looks like this glitch has been swept under the rug and forgotten like all the pet bugs.

    Can we EVER expect a fix to our Air pets being ground locked since Patch v729 - Released June 19th, 2013?

    Not even the standard "looking into it" response for this **** up.

    Couple of months and it will be a year old with no plans on a fix.

    I doubt this will ever get "fixed", as it's exactly the way Mystic summons work (treated as land pet on ground, as air pet in air.)

    One pretty big problem with that. Venomancers are NOT Mystics and PETS are not a skill summon. You don't break one class to match the broken aspect of another. Both need to be corrected.

    If there are no plans to fix the movement and attack mechanics broken by the evolution system there needs to be an option for reverting pets to a pre-evolved state.

    To go one step further in the name of class fairness, make all attacks from every class used on the ground only effective against ground targets or attacks from the air only work against aerial targets because that is what has been done to us.

    But pets with ranged skills can still hit aerial targets from the ground (no, there aren't many, and none are really suited for PVP), and flying pets are still able to hit ground targets.

    It's not like pets are a real factor in end-game PVP anyway.

    Dancing around a problem saying but... but... but... you can try... or its not a factor... means absolutely zip.

    Not everyone PVPs and for new players (if there ever are anymore that join) that charge a nix and see just how stupid it is to have a bird battle pet land locked will to rage about being ripped off.

    These are known problems with broken mechanics and they need to be fixed. Period!

    Oh it's not like skill is a factor in end pvp either, but some of us do have it and use it.




    Also find it interesting that right now there are 8 topics on the first page of this forum dealing with venomancer issues. b:surrender

    It's not that I like the current behavior, I just don't expect China to fix it, since they haven't in nearly a year... they probably consider it intended behavior.

    agreed with what u said bout how veno pets wouldnt be skills like mystic ones;

    however, when the "bug" that u cant spawn pets in the air was implemented mystic debuff plants (and thicket skill, both of whom btw dont work on last boss in aeu either) werent spawnable in the air either

    and regarding pets not using skills in pk: yes thats been buggy ever since on mystics
    hence i dont use pets at all in tw/nw cos its so much timewaste spawning/healing the pet when it just runs after ppl, skill is in cooldown but neither dmg nor effect triggers
    so fking annoying -.-

    oh and ik its kinda off topic here, but to all the mystics who read this: no need to get the primal devil chihyu version, stats r increased by like a maximum of 100 points with r999 +12 gear
    mystics got screwed so hard with new skills -.-

    NPC'd all your battle pets because you find them useless? Of course you haven't. So how about you stop with that excuse.

    Can we get acknowledgment from a official red avatar about these broken pet actions instead of all these useless and uninformed comments from forum lurkers?

    ... or perhaps the hiring address for the developer staff, that I can refer my coder friends to? I am sure they are "NOW HIRING" by now and need all the help they can get.

    Bump because it's been over a year without any acknowledgment. Ignoring broken mechanics will not make them go away, but it will make your customers do so.
