Installing Arc

Is anyone else having (or had) trouble installing arc? I clicked on the "Play on Arc Now" button and downloaded the .exe file and ran it. It has updated a couple of times, but it also seems to stall when "checking for updates". I don't get anything beyond that checking/installing updates. I don't have any windows that are associated with arc but when I open task manager I see it running as a task (not an application) and I didn't click on the option for it to run at windows startup. I also enabled the pulgins to internet exporer.

Ultimately I wouldn't care about Arc except I needed to do a clean install of PWI because after I applied the manual patch PWI wouldn't run.

So does anyone have any suggestions?

Windows Vista 32bit
3 Gb ram
2.0GHz Duo CPU

    ARC pretty much sux. You Can Check the Arc FAQ first: https://support.perfectworld.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4196/kw/arc see if that helps you or not. Good Luck b:victory

    I agree with you about Arc. How can I install PW without installing Arc. As far as I can tell from the website I need to install Arc so I can do a fresh install of PWI.
