Todays adventure led me to Archosaour where I greeted General Summer. I had known the general for some time now and have even help him out in some hard times such as when the Arboride Dryads where attacking his great city, a challenge to be sure but it was nothing I couldn't handle. Today however he told me something disturbing, he told a tale of a wraith named Qingzi, the tale left even a harden veteran like me with my hair standing on end. Already guessing what he was going to ask me to do I asked if there was anyone who would be able to help me slay this monstrosity. He sent me to the commander and chief. He was a serious fellow who did not like being bothered unless it was for something important. When I asked what he knew about Qingzi his face soured. He told me he didn't have resources to spare on suicidal mission like the one I had accepted but if I was willing to pay he could get a hold of some things that may help. After hearing the tale or Qingzi I was willing to accept any help even if it would cost me some coin so I gladly accepted. I then went in search of other heros who could possibly help me in this quest and my search led me to west Archosaour where I was told I could find people who would be able to get the message to everyone in the world. After some time I received a message back from many would be heros but I knew I could only accept the best. In the pile of messages I found a few who looked to have potential, a barb, a cleric, and a wizard. Myself being a cleric this looked to be a favorable squad but I wanted to be sure so I tried to find one more. Finally at the very bottom of the pile I found who I was looking for. Although he clearly didn't have as much experience as the others he looked promising so I thought I would give him a chance so the bm joined us on the perilous journey.

We headed for the beasts den by secret passage I was told about from the commander. The wizard and cleric I sent scouting ahead to see what we where up against. The barb and myself soon followed. I had intended to have the bm follow in after us as back up if something when wrong but Qingzi had already sensed us and laid a trap for him. After all but the bm had succeeded in finding the way through the endless labyrinth to where the beast hid, Qingzi sprung his trap. The bm had thought he saw a light, and not knowing any better headed for it, it was then we heard the cry for help. He had been trapped in the light unable to move. Luckily the barb had dealt with this trick before and knew how to handle it. After a short while he managed to set the bm free and we again headed for the place now known as the Hall of Deception.

We traveled up a long ramp and came to a room with a door that had no handle. We tried to push on it but it wouldn't budge, we tried to blow it up but it wasn't even scratched. We would have to find a way around, that's when the guardian of the gate showed up. With our superior range we managed to take him down with little fight, that battle somehow destroyed the door which we had already tried to break down. we headed down the corridor where we met a challenging foe. Before we could react the wizard fell, the cleric immediately started to revive her while I tried to heal the barb who started to take a full volley of rocks. These enemies where more sophisticated then we anticipated though and they quickly turned their gaze on me, I fell after only a few blows unable to get away, the bm then followed. Down to one cleric who was trying desperately to revive us the barb tried to make it on his own with pots. The cleric managed to get myself and the wizard standing and I immediately went to save the barb but it was to late and he fell. Now I was again in there line of sight unable to get away but luckily the cleric had just finished reviving the bm. He managed to get agro off of me but due to his lack of experience was overwhelmed by the creatures. I quickly fell afterword I managed to revive myself with an item given to me by general summer and worked on reviving the cleric. Once she was up I told her to quickly hide I then managed to trick the horrors, as myself and the wizard fell, into thinking that we all perished. It worked they looked away and the cleric managed to revive most of us but the barb was still in there vision. We worked quickly I revived the barb and as he raised both the cleric and I quickly healed him. This time we stayed out of sight so as not to be targeted down again. We finally managed to take them down after a fierce battle, we where worn out but we had to press on.

At last we came to a great hall. There we found the horror which I cant even describe hiding behind his loyal minions. we managed to draw them into the corridor where only one could fit at a time until we managed to defeat them all. Qingzi was furious he jumped on the barb who was closest to him, the cleric and I worked quickly to heal him while the wizard and bm prepaid to strike at him when the barb gave them the signal. Worn out from the battle previously both myself and the other clerics magic reserves where starting to run out. After 20 minutes of battle, both sides unwilling to give way, we managed to slay Qingzi right as we lost our power.

Party:
Level 31 Cleric, myself
Level 35 Cleric
Level 31 Barb
Level 30 Wizard
Level 27 BM

My barb was 32 by the time we got in the Hall (leveled in Secret Passage.)

The near wipe was by the last group of mobs before the door to Qingzi's room, got too close and they all aggroed, and I didn't manage to flesh ream them quick enough.

Let do fb39 in same way. Show other players, that this game can be played without level 80+ in squad for low-level instances !

I recommend for your next one to not make it such a huge wall of text. But other than that loved it :)

It will be interesting to read it, of course, because stories of level 101 players, killing kun-kun are boring.

If level 30 players do level 30 quests, then this is interesting and challenging for them.

Yikes, two clerics with a wizard and the barb still died? =/ Nice story you have, but really barb should not die on the boss with two clerics and a wizard. There was a guide that said wizard should be tanking Qingzi at those levels, not melee because he's dangerous in melee range.

At least I read someone playing better than most people I guess, my advice is to be more cautious on your next FB, FB39 is really easy for even level 4x.

P.S: Finally I see some changes happening.
    Sage barb in progress.

The barb didn't die on the boss (no one did, and I think my health never dropped below 50% even when the clerics were sucking mana fumes, as they tend to do at those levels), it was mobs that ganked the healers while I was trying to get aggro on them (one of the groups of 1 ghoul and 2 flames) after accidentally getting too close and they all aggroed to me.

I did mention that wizards could tank Qingzi, but I wasn't sure they could at that level.

They can, but their hp is so very, very low that they require much more healing than the barb. I wouldn't recommend it at lvl 30 with 3*/quest gear.

Well the text was really annoying, but anyway congratz :D Very good work and that so many died at the last room is normal because they dont only AoE but debuff everyone as well.

IMO in relation of the lvls 30-49 to 40-59 fb29 is way harder than 39, because in melee quingzi even hits harder than farren for example and the other mobs can kill ranged pretty fast. On my 100 r8 mystic those stupid flames still do more damage than any mob in 39 or 51 if tanked ranged.
But at least the dungeon is very short.

The lieutenants weren't a big problem, I pulled most of them one by one with a brand new zeal because I knew I couldn't get aggro on them all (don't have roar yet, can't get it until 34.)

We had a few other deaths when the wizard pulled aggro off me (hit too soon before I'd properly flesh reamed) or the BM ran into mobs we didn't need to kill in the towerling room.

    game of story's now.....
What can you expect from filthy little heathens? Their whole disgusting race is like a curse. Their skin's a hellish red they're only good when dead they're vermin, as I said and worse. They're Savages! Savages! Barely even human. Savages! Savages! Drive them from our shore! They're not like you and me
which means they must be evil we must sound the drums of war! They're Savages! Savages! Dirty redskin devils! Now we sound the drums of war!

He didn't die on the boss, he died to the mobs just before we entered the final room. Guess he forgot about them or something and walked to close when he turned the corner agroing the ghoul and the flame things.

Definitely didn't forget about them, just got too close and wasn't able to get aggro on all of them before healers died.

wow wonderfully written!. I remember over 3 years ago i was a little bitty lvl 30 cleric being brought into secret passage packed full of BH squad seekers. It was my first time in a squad as a cleric. The barb there came and escorted me through it to deception hall. I was freaked out. Didnt know what i was doing. Someone just said to spam IH on the barb.

It was the days when we were actually growing up into the high level toons that we are now. I'm so sad those days are over.
