Why are the Dragonpoints' rewards so bad?

I checked out the dragon point shop today. There is a chistone, a makover scroll, some crappy fashion and some all class pets in there. Why are the rewards for that and also the rewards for achievements in the achievement shop so terrible? Or am I just looking at them incorrectly? The achievements shop at least has an exp scroll which is useful.

Save 50,000 dragon quest points. Redeem a Demon/Sage event card. Look at the event boutique to see what you can buy with it. (Hit "O" then click the "Events" tab.) Yeah 50 event gold doesn't buy much, and nothing in the event boutique is tradeable, but it is better than everything else in the DQ rewards system.

KingCrash - Dreamweaver

Cause it's never been updated since it was released. It did have Medals of Glory in it at one point but got removed due to glitch abuse and replaced with a yellow horse.

You are completely looking at it wrong. For one thing the event gold allows you to get free refines and charms. It's cheaper to go all the way up to +7~8 through event gold than any other way. Also, the female fashion includes some of the most popular bottoms ever, and it's now at a new player friendly price. New players are important to the longevity of the game. The more of them that stay and are happy and cash shop, the longer you get to keep playing. Maiden Kissed Chests provide buff pots that can be used to give you some fantastic buffs, including HP buffs from blinking poultices which allow you to be barb buffed without a barb in squad. Do-All cards are good for running cube, which if you are 95+ can get you pages of fate on the cheap. Regardless of that fact, cube is still good exp. They used to be tradeable as well, not sure if they still are or not. If you're into customization, the makeover scroll is much cheaper than paying the 50 tokens or gold price you'd have to pay otherwise. Making changing your characters appearance cheap, and easy. The random dyes as well are cheap, allowing you to dye ugly fashion for next to nothing. In addition random dyes gives you access to some colors that are not available as straight up dyes.

All and all, I think the DQ system is a fairly rewarding points system.

I forgot about the random dyes. Random dyes are a good way to get a set to match for cheap.

Event gold, do-all cards and random dyes are definitely the best thing about dq rewards.
An occasional update with new items would be nice, no reason not to.
Oooo they could put NW tokens in there, or basic badges! b:avoid

we could use some uniq flyer since we already have that horsey , lets say make 200k point flyer..

Why can't they just put back in the MoG? I'd love to farm those in-game despite the recent sale nerfing their price. Or maybe put in stacks of mysterious chip boxes. I still have some remaining from when they still used to be in there but only enough for the R9 ring-wish I got more before they took it out.

Things I'd like to see-

MoG (will never happen but make it a high price)
Mysterious Chip packs (stack of 10? of the 10 pack ones)
NW Tokens (only like a stack of 10 so that people don't QQ and it gives people who are now severely outclassed to have a shot at gearing up)
White Panther Mount- Yes it exists in the game but its a PQ reward

Updates to the Event boutique-this isn't exactly related but this does need to be updated a bit

I'm happy with it. I never have dragon points left between the amount of event gold and random dyes I need.

However, I would love to see supply tokens in there as someone suggested. Then maybe I would finally have a shot at engraving my necklaces.

a good idea would be some lowbie gear since they don't really have a use for event gold and most of the other stuff are relatively useless too. Maybe give dreamchaser pack and "dreamchaser pack ex" for higher level gear. That way, they can farm DQ and get nice gear despite the DQ nerf.

I do get the not fan of pvp part but I cant resist to say: enter NW, click randomly on the map and you should get enough for a couple of rerolls b:surrender

I like the basic badge idea.


On a side note, if they never did take out the MoG in the DQ shop, even more people would currently have them. I think it would cause dq prices in shops to increase, since of all the upgrades you can do to r9. It would have cost 375k dq points to get all the MoG you would need. With the promotional Heroic Chests, it would have been so easy to achieve that.

Edit: Just with the total dq pts that I have gotten in this game thus far, I would have been able to buy MoGs for 6 1/2 characters. There are people that have way more than the 2.4m dq pts that I have, so in all honesty, people would have an account full of them.

Eh, NW tokens need to be decreased, not increased. 10 is not little, you do it 10 times and it's 100. Unless it's really expansive and not worth it except at "emergency" cases, or from having extra DQ points.

About the mount, PWI has a habit or making rare things widely avalible after some time, let's not encourage it.

I've never seen anyone attempt to get it on my server simply because ppl are buttstalking the PQ spots for plvling. And besides as far as I recall theres only been one or two mount sales where the Purgatory Lion Lord was available and I still get offers of 100-150 mil on it. I dont see them suddenly re-relesing them en-mass for a while.

Besides in't it a random chance anyways? Or rather not guaranteed even after you turn in the medals?
