More hotkeys

I don't know if this has already been suggested but i will write it anyway:
Wouldn't it be nice if every skill could be assigned to a hotkey? So far only a limited amount of skills can be executed by pressing keys. The others must be either clicked with the mouse or require a skill row/column roll. That is quite a problem in pvp sometimes. f:meh

Not a bug, doesn't belong in Quality Corner.
The problem I have is not enough slots on action bars for everything I want to put there... and there's still a few skills I don't have.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You are right! It's not a bug....but it would definently improve the quality of the game for me.
It was deliberate to post it here and not at the suggestions topic even tho...perhaps this is not the best place for what i wrote.0 -
You know, when PWI dont make those Hotkeys, why dont you make them on your own?
I have for example a mouse with serval extra buttons and can put everything on them, but i only do the skills there i need the most.
When you dont like too many buttons on the mouse (mine has 12 extra buttons but i only use a few) you can also buy a keyboard which supports such things.
Maybe its better to spend a few bucks for better hardware and not expecting an update from a game and play with input devices worth 5 bucks, you know.
Also nothing for the quality corner0 -

I'm not sure you understood what i ment...In order to use such a mouse in pwi, the game must allow the player to set hotkeys first.
There are 5 columns with 9 slots each and 3 rows with 8 slots each. That means a total of 69 slots available. U can attach one skill to each but you can only turn 17 of them into hotkeys. What i ask is the possibility of attaching a hotkey for each of those 69 slots.
It's true that some classes don't require more than a couple of keys but others do. For example Blademaster and Assassin can make a good use of it.
This change would improve the game play for people who enjoy having many keys and will also not affect the rest in any way.0 -
Ah, i see.
Ok yea i missunderstood that, sorry mate.
Yea that actually bugged me too, i allways had to switch the skills i want to hotkey around to other slots, because i couldnt hotkey the place, where the skill was in.0 -

More hotkeys would indeed benefit a lot of players.
A thread named "Quality corner" should not be filled with bugs complaints only. Why is it not called "bug report corner"? I think everything that can improve the quality of this game should be posted here....0 -
at least they could make it so you can control+F1 etc the skills in your secondary bars... now you have to switch, click, switch backyou only purge once #yopo0

I do agree it would be nice to have hotkeys for the other rows but at the same time, a lot of the keys are already assigned to things and there are very few not in use (and those that are free are scattered about so it wouldn't be nice and easy to remember like 1-9). Though I really don't see why they couldn't make it 1-0 at least.... poor zero is ignored.
At the very least I would love to have more spaces to put things. Not in that another row pops out, because my screen is too full already, but they could be a bit longer... like 1-9 with 3 or so un-numbered boxes after it. We just have so many skills now that I end up having to decide which I don't use much and getting rid of them.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

See:I just wanted to quickly introduce you to an exciting new forum, the Quality Corner! Our testing team will be working directly with you all to locate, reproduce, and report bugs so that we can more effectively serve you and create a better game experience. This forum is a place where you can voice your concerns and opinions and point out serious bugs. General issues related to Tech Support, Billing, or Customer Service should be routed via the support page: https://support.perfectworld.com.
The name of the forum is not as relevant as the stated purpose of it given by the CM. It could be called Giggles McGee forum for all I care. If you have a problem with the name, go make a suggestion post about how it should be changed. Just because you ignore the CM's post and feel your thread belongs here doesn't mean it does.Proving that not only archers do math since 2009. b:victory

Doesn't the above in red cover this thread? Sure seems like a concern or opinion to me.
Don't know why people seem to get so much joy out of pointing out others faults.
As for the content of this thread specifically, seems to me that 69 slots should be plenty since the tilde and v keys toggle through the 5 columns or 3 rows quite quickly and easily. If the columns and rows forced you to use the mouse to select a new column, or row, then I would probably be arguing for the same addition, but since you can access all 69 (or whatever number it was) hotkey slots without ever using the mouse, I guess I'm happy with the way it is.0 -
The reason it belongs in quality corner is because the existing hot key setup is low quality and this suggestion improves the quality. So it's almost like the game design missed something or isn't expansive enough. Granted by using the tilde and "v" keys there are actually 34 hotkeys, but for some reason it still seems cumbersome to flip through those and try and macro after hot swapping. Also the 34 keys do a fairly good job covering most of the skills, but some of us like some Pots and genie skills on the keyboard without shift + [insert key here].
I have a programmable keyboard and it is setup for assist attack macro, and that takes up 9 more keys. I find extra mouse buttons to me more trouble than they are worth, for example the mouse I use has a right side button near the thumb and if I accidentally press it, then it's an automatic "backspace" function. It's a nightmare to reprogram that button for some reason.
This is sorta off topic, but do the programmable keyboards allow a "mouse click" on a specific spot on the window? If there were, then that would solve some issues, because I could use that to activate the pots and genie skills I need. It's all mostly a TW and PvP thing, because normal PvE there are adequate hot keys.I did not feel the treachery or inconstancy of a friend, nor the injuries of a secret or open enemy. Oh for gods' sakes, can we please stop having 'debates' over and over about the 'purpose' of the quality corner, just because an OP posts a thread there and gets all defensive when the general forum-people who actually know the forum tells them it doesn't belong there..?
'Debates' because it's (generally) always only the OP who argues it belongs there and everyone else who's not being defensive gets it. OTL"Clearly, the only logical option is Squid." -Decus <コ:彡 <コ:彡

You are right...it should ....but in my option each slot should be assigned to a hotkey. Currently there are 17 hotketys (not counting genie shortcuts). I really dislike pressing V every time to roll hotkeys. In PvP, waiting for the right roll or clicking with mouse leads to defeat.0 -

not to mention over-rolling the row you want and try and roll again and under - roll or get another over-roll. in pve its no big deal, but in TW, NW, PK; every split second separates the living from the dead.I did not feel the treachery or inconstancy of a friend, nor the injuries of a secret or open enemy. Quality Corner should be more considered quality control such as bug reports. Since this is a suggestion, it belongs in the suggestion box. For that reason, I am moving it there.0
