Question for MODERATOR about downloading PWI on a specific laptop..

I'm technologically impaired and not too bright about what laptop to buy or if it meets the requirements. I'm sorry, I know I'm a derp!! b:embarrass I'm getting a new laptop and I need to know if it will run PWI or not.

    I don't think any of the mods online are really super technologically savvy (if you want that, ask for Slyen, he's the master of wonders with that here)...
    Just in case you haven't been keeping track (I don't remember you talking about news mentioned on the forums before), any new people downloading PWI have to download ARC first, unless they have one of Slyen's links (I'll look for them and edit them into this post for your future refrence)
    But yeah, the mods are forum volunteers so their technical knowledge of the game isn't really going to be that much higher than any other player's o-o Or if it is, it doesn't coorelate with their modsy-ness. I've only known one case where a laptop gave pwi an issue and no other game, and that was a school-purchased computer... but I can't guarantee anything about a specific model/especially because some computers are just more 'special' than others, sorry >:

    As for the PC, yea, it'll play PWI. It should play it fine on medum graphics, however laptops are not good for gaming in general (unless it's a gaming type of laptop). Desktops are more for gaming, but that's after you configure it and stuff.

    But yes, that pc would play PWI fairly decent.

    I found Sylen's post for the download thing, but in his more recent posts he's said there's been issues with the torrent (and of course ARC sucks) so I don't know if there's new ones now... otherwise, yeah, what the catgirl-guy-thing said :3

    I did find an alternate torrent link but keep forgetting to add my server to the feed for it. It's posted in this forum somewhere... give me a few to find it..

    Also, the "Direct Download" link in that post still works for the old Pando downloader. (Which is kinda like the torrent, but with fewer seeds and no data verification.

    I have added the above .torrent to the trackers on my seed and currently have it available.
    It's verified to be working, it's clean, and it's got a decent number of seeds last time I looked.

    Later I'll create a new tracker and host it off of one of my own sites.

    If you have to get a laptop then get one with at least intel 4000 graphic chip. It's a huge upgrade from previous chips in terms of graphics and gaming and should run pwi fine.

    Devi, if you want to have PWI on your new computer (and haven't gotten it yet) without ARC, you'll need to transfer your files onto a thumbdrive to transfer the ARCless client that way.

    erm i think you can make a junk account.
    download arc.
    log in with that account.
    set a good download locations like C/Games/Perfect World
    Download pwi
    then when its finished. just close and uninstall arc.
    go to the location you installed PWI in and go to the launcher folder.
    make a shortcut and then open pwi that way.

    works for me. and its patching atm.

    Nothing below 1000$ is suitable for gaming
    laptops aren't for gaming
    No PC can run PWI on maximum settings because of old and unoptimized game engine.
