TT Green DQ Points

Around 9 months ago I proposed that TT green mats should be able to be sold to NPCs for DQ points value.
I was laughed at and mocked at this idea.
The game has progress as I expected, new gears have made many TT green mats price drop very low, and this causes the instance to be run less.
Twilight Temple bosses are harder than mobs, which drop DQ items, and I think it's a great idea to give players the freedom of choice to sell to other players to to an NPC for equal value.
This will provide more farming life during the non-event hours, and give playes more of the benefits and fun, with the motivation to sell their materials.
I put a poll on here if you want to take the time to vote or voice your opinions.

If I had a dime for every time I was wrong, I'd be broke.

I think a long list of things should be NPCable for DQ points and TT mats would be fine on that list but not a top priority.
1. Nirvana keys.
2. Reflection Shards
3. Mirages.
4. lvl 100 BH2 xp/spirit/rep rewards (Its sad when I have so many I feed it to an alt and miss level 70-92)
5. This is where crafting mats, like TT would go.
I'm not opposed to the idea. Its a very decent idea. Just as far as updating the DQ list my 1000 hours of reflection shards, my 50+ stacks of 99k Nirvana keys, and the constant mirages I'm being fed from caster vana tokens and +50 mirages rewards all seem more valuable as DQ reward items to me.Dsholder - Dreamweaver wrote: »

This is called a 'laissez faire' economic system. We knew G16/NW introduction would hurt the TT market and prices would drop. As a result, less people farm it. As a result of less people farming the value of the farmed mats raise. As the prices rise more people farm again until its not worth it anymore and less people continue farming, and so on. You kind of provide your own argument against there.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -
This could be...good.
What do you think would be a good distribution for the DQ points per items?
For example: Would all TT 60 materials be worth 10 points while TT 70 is 20 points and so on, or should each item be valued individually (in particular, gold materials)?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Remember: OP may be a duck|OP/GMs/Devs may not deliver|Search function is your friend|Lurk more|Be wary of Mods: they can't be trusted|This place isn't a hugbox|Your tears sustain me|Know what Bait is|"Soon" may never come|Postcount, Dubs, and other GETs are important|Don't revive long dead threads|There is a section for everything|You can be banned for anything|No Fun Allowed outside of OT|Sweetiebot rules OT|"Circlejerks" are inevitable|Threads can be derailed and saved|Those who use"XD" should off themselves at their earliest convenience|0 -
I could not disagree with this idea more. I see no reason to raise the prices of TT gear for low levels just because some high level wants to go back to the days where everyone farmed nirvana. Back then, it wasn't so bad because if a low level wanted to no-life DQ farm and just buy the mats, they could. Not anymore. Now the prices have come down to a point where it just takes doing the JJ orders for a few days, questing, maybe some mat farming or maybe some NW to get their gear. Which is about the amount of work it should take since the map is empty and it's impossible to qet squads for BHs, let alone TT. If you want DQ points, farm them. If you want the better money, gear up and farm the TT99. That's still a good price, and you can turn it into g15 gear easily for selling. You could also merch, etc.0

Sad. Got ninja'd to the suggestion box where no one will discuss this.oVenusArmanio wrote: »I see no reason to raise the prices of TT gear for low levels
You do realize it'd help the farming market for everyone, right? Right now low levels have absolutely zero to farm because TT mats are worthless and a 3 hour run isn't worth it. They're pretty much relegated to slower than average DQ farming, herb farming (but not in Heaven/Hell), and rushing to 100 to get to Warsong/Lunar/BH100s which is about the only current farming. Higher levels will obviously be able to do it more efficiently, but they'll be more inclined to farm TT for the DQs for event gold for things like charms for pk, and endgame gear refine. This opens up the TT mat market for lower levels to farm for coin or gear, and gives them some game content in the mid level range that is currently rejected. Remember when people actually did 2-x in the level 70-80 range? This might help restore that.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. I didn't suggest raising the prices to low levels nowhere in my original post.
What Gear do you suggest people gear up and then use to farm their own TT 99 by the way?
Why are you suggesting alternatives methods of farming gear and DQ, when there is clearly one current method that is flawed, and should be fixed first, rather than players suggesting alternatives. Doing this only causes the problem to never be fixed.
List of level 90+ Mats that are almost that take time to farm but are worthless:
- Frenzy Lion's Edge
- Iron Plate of Darkness
- Wheel of the Seven Luminaries
- Evil Minion's Axe Edge
- Monarch's Will
- Sorceress's Aura
- Giant Beast's Crimson Horn
- Giant Pincers of Darkness
- Sacred Mother's Heart
- Sacred Mother's Stone
- Sorceress's Hearwear

I don't see how it would restore that, more than likely it would simply raise the price as demand stayed the same but supply plummeted. When it got worth it to farm again, it would be once again dominated by higher levels who can farm it far more effectively and with less costs. As long as that remains true, that situation will not change. The reason they can compete for the mats or things like hay, is because the drops are severely nerfed for high levels. SO it's actually less costly to do it on a low level than a high.
edit: Also, once again moderation is not to be discussed on the forums.0 -
Making TT Green Mats have a DQ Value would be an awesome way to help the TT economy and help TT become alive again :O.... It would be awesome seeing someone forming TT squads to farm DQ And while doing so helping someone finish a culti they have had for months but couldn't do because TT squads are sooo damn rare nowadays :P0
