I searched the forums for this answer and nothing. When crafting, lets say, the sky cover to the NW forge upgrade, do you lose refines? Is there a Chienken cost? I have a Sky Cover+10 with a dex+10 engraving and I want to get the upgrade from the forge, is the refine transfer free like going from R9s1 to S2? I would appreciate your help.

    It's not free to transfer refines. It's about 119 cheinkens to trasfer +10 refines. It should be a free transfer. Not only do you need all the SOW's and tokens, you need coin too. I believe 99m. That's rediculous. I rather sell my ring and neck, get clean ones, and forge the upgrades. I find it better to just do it that way. Oh well no biggie.

    Yup!! 55 SOW's, 680 tokens and 99m + refine transfers. Not gonna happen. I'll sell my ring, buy one cheap, upgrade with the left over money, then work on refines.

    That's why you see a lot of really highly refined rings now being sold, at least on Sanctuary it's pretty common, it's better just to get a clean ring and forge it and then refine it.

    I agree. Same on my server. I have all my high refined stuff in my shop so I can sell it and buy the sow's to upgrade. I'll let someone else mess with my refined peices once I get rid of it.

    I believe engravings will not be saved. If you have +10 str, would that be transferred over or lost?

    any engrave either ring (pq ring or r9) or necklace will be lost once recasted into next stage.
