At first I tut it might have to do with the fact that I was in warsong before I logged out and maybe I was pink named when I got out without noticing (I cant remember but I doubt this was the case), but the 2nd time it happened I was just at some random place on the world map (somewhere outside of lost i think xD).

Ideas, similar experience etc? ^^ Maybe this another addition for the quality corner? b:chuckle

If you have a room with mobs in it, pull it to the npc and use tangling mire (or an AOE might work as well)
That will make your name go pink-ish. Now force log off and log back in.

It happened to me a few times during cube runs after I AOE'd near an NPC and then got a DC, logged back on and got white named but could turn it off with the PK button right away.

I think that's all the info in that thread ^^ Slap me if I missed something D:

I will keep track of what I was doing before I log off from now on, so in case it happens again I can give more accurate info on what may or may not be the cause of this.

    I noticed myself and other squad members being pink named in Warsong the other day; didn't notice if it was just on the vile or on the regular bosses.

    This used to happen in DT also, when you AOE'd mobs near the pillars.

    Just to clarify, since the replies suggest otherwise, the issue is not that you sometimes get pink name in ws, cube etc. The issue is that when logging out as blue named you come back online as a white name. It might be related tho, who knows ^^

    Just wanted to make sure there is no misunderstanding about what the problem is :x

    When it happened to me I didn't have to log out. I finished up a warsong run and then exited the instance. When I came out I had a white name (even though I did not go in in PK mode or change into PK mode while inside).

    It did allow me to change back immediately without any wait.

    My name went white without logging. I was done for the day and didn't bother to notice whether I could change it back.

    This has been around for years and is actually a useful glitch for getting a white name without a 10 hour PK timer.

    Repro:
    1) Go to warsong
    2) Duel another character near an NPC inside
    3) Do an AOE that hits the NPC (get a pink name)
    4) Relog

    Effect:
    You are now white name (pk enabled) but there is no 10 hour timer and you can go back to blue immediately.

    Sure, I don't really think it's a problem when you actually can go back to blue name immediately if you want :o Thou when you try to turn it off and it gets "re"-turned on instead and gives you a 10 hour timer then I think it's problem. Sadly I don't know exactly what I did before I logged of that time, might be that I did a quick TT run before I went to bed. At least I'm sure I was neither in Warsong or in Cube. As I stated above I'm keeping track of anything I'm doing before I log off now, should it happen again.
