Event boss problem

Today i was doing event boss.
There were 5-6 of us in the begining only, we were fighting the boss sth like 30 mins, and just in the end lot of ppl came, when boss was left with 2kk and they were not fighting.
When boss died they picked up the packs, showed link 3xpacks, 2x etc
And i clicked on few packs and got message unable to pick up, i mean wtf. I fight the whole time and am not able to pick it up.
Then i asked the others from the begin, noone could pick it up.
We were pissed off, we killed the boss but no ****** drops.
PWI need to fix this stupid thing

Drops can be picked by anyone from that boss, even if they're not hitting it.
What probably happened is that you clicked a pick right as someone else picked it, making it unable to be picked up.

Not sure if that's true or not, but that's my 2 cents.

Also, if somebody in your squad picks up an item and your inventory is full, it drops automatically but has a timer where nobody else can pick it up. This might have happened where some people had full inventories when their squad mates were picking up items, and so that person automatically dropped it.

The Phoenix daily boss is not worth doing because the drops can be picked up by anyone. You can be a ranged DD dealing most of the damage and you won't get anything cause some level 80 sin is closer to boss and picks the drops.

I've been told when you get the unable to pickup messages it's because someone dropped coin from their inv right before boss hp drops and when u start to click and pickup u try and pick up said drop coins so it can't be picked for what 20 secs? And as everyone said before the boss drop is for everybody so I guess stuff like that will continue to happen.
