Halp? Finding typographic artists.

As part of a unit for my graphic design, I need to find typography that uses one of each of the formal elements:

[
• texture
• pattern

I've already found Line, Tone and Color, but finding the other 2 highlighted had been very difficult. Would anyone know artists who use tone, texture, or pattern in their works? Would be greatly appreciated.
Im nearly done with my first year Im so glad im on merits and distinctions so I can move onto year 2!
