Halp? Finding typographic artists.

As part of a unit for my graphic design, I need to find typography that uses one of each of the formal elements:
    [
  • texture
  • pattern

I've already found Line, Tone and Color, but finding the other 2 highlighted had been very difficult. Would anyone know artists who use tone, texture, or pattern in their works? Would be greatly appreciated.
Im nearly done with my first year :D Im so glad im on merits and distinctions so I can move onto year 2!
