New Server, New Archer

Okay...

Well i've been on Archosaur for a long *** time.. (Day one) So i decided to move.

I have a 102 archer i use to play a long time ago after AzuraEclipse (My Cleric) got a tad bit boring.

Only recently i decided to move servers and have made a new archer.

I'm figuring out endgear so i have enough money to save up and put away for the gear and the farming for N3 >.<

(Since my archer Reifeil, Retired before N3 came out... its really killing my brain)

^ thats what i came up with.... i'm not quite sure on what weapon nore if any of that armor is workable in PvP..

If you could please help me out would be amazing!!! Its doing my head in thinking about shards and what to put in. (Refines will come in later)

g16 is fine, but I'd personally save up for r9 if I were you :<

I agree here. You can save up /merch/gold trade and CS (if that is what you mean by saving up) the other portion which takes away a lot of needed cash.
And recasting to r9r and beyond is a lot more simple than getting the first cast XD

If you are rich enough to be able to get skycover rings, u should consider getting r9 gears instead.

If there isn't enough money for r9 gears, u can still get nirvana gears, but I don't see much point investing in sky cover rings. Two Sign of Frost Rings would be sufficient enough for a nirvana build.

You can get WS belt for your nirvana build, but like I said, if you are rich enough, just go for r9 and get r9 3rd cast belt.

Something like the below build if u want nirvana gears but not leaning towards r9..

For weapon, it's really up to you whether u want a xbow/bow/slingshot. I seen merits for using any of them.

Personally I think interval G16 slingshot can be quite fun in pve with demon quickshot, while xbow gives nice damage spikes during pvp.

Honestly, there is no better bow option than the r9 bow. Even if you insist on full g16, at least consider getting the r9 bow + belt.

With respect to the highlighted portion, the prices of these items vary greatly from server to server. It looks like the OP is coming from the Archosaur server where the cost of a sky cover (a clean one goes for 25-35m right now) is not that much greater than a frost ring (around 15m).

He doesn't say what server he is going to, so it may or may not be a worthwhile upgrade. But I do find it hard to believe that the price for a sky cover ring is in any way comparable to full R9 gear on any official PWI server.

I moved to Sanctuary.

From what i saw they are about 30m or more depending...

As for R9 it will all depend if i can get money >.<

30m for a Sky Cover isn't enough. You're looking at more like 50.
Anyway, if I were you I'd spend a little bit of cash on resetting strength, you have too much.
R9 would be the best choice if you can afford it, but g16 isn't so bad. Get a cube neck, ws belt and refine everything. Well-refined g16 is better than low-refined r9 in my opinion. You just lack the purge bow.
To the guy above who said to get r9 belt and bow; if he could afford belt and bow he'd get the full set, those are the 2 most expensive pieces anyway.
If I were you I'd probably get a lunar g15 or g16 vana set and use that to farm r9, it should be good enough. It all depends on finances. I know a lot of people farm g16 first, to give them a boost to farm the r9, but I don't really see the point unless it's lunar g16. At least then you can sell it when you upgrade to r9.
The choice is yours, depending on how much cash you think you can farm. Either stick with g16 and refine it, or just get the g16 to farm r9, in which case I wouldn't bother refining past +5 or so.
