I Think I speak for most if not all big TW factions among the servers, when I say map resets gives a really boring TW weekend for a while after. The smaller factions obviously like it, as they can TW against each other, and I think thats great to see as well, so it’s not dominated by 1 or two only. But really it’s not fun for anyone, when the best factions just eat through the small faction’s lands, which can send maybe 10-15 to TW, waste of time for both.

A few changes that I generally think would be good:

1: Remove Map resets.
2: Additional Event Gold for TW's
3: Make 9 territories on TW map untouchable by the 2 biggest/best faction on server (SF based)
4: Remove cost for building towers and guards in TW.


Removing map resets:

So no resets, means no PvE TW’s, so who is going to miss that? It’s geared and made towards level 40-80’s, and even the smallest factions around completes those super boring Tw’s within 1 hour, and anything just with a few level 100’s is done in less than 20 min..
Now of course this will make the “TW season rewards” non-existent, if no resets right.. But really, those Ceremonial weapons are useless, and the teddybear for 2nd time winners, sure it’s cute and all, but really.. It’s just a pet, and will collect dust for most people after the first week or two.

Additional Event Gold Reward for TW's:

Once upon a time the coins we got from holding territories covered charm cost, and would even give profit. Now with prices on charms multiplied by a factor 15’ish since 2008/2009 the TW reward is simply not helping much at all.
I’d like to see the introduction of event gold rewards for each individual TW.
The reward could be something like 5 event gold for participating in TW and 15 Event Gold for winning TW.
Then a yearly Event Gold Reward of maybe 750 Event Gold, to the faction holding the most land at the time.

9 territories on map untouchable by the 2 biggest/best factions on server:

This is something that I think would be needed, and that smaller factions would appreciate. I suggest the nine territories (Buried Bones, The Fissure, Southern Stronghold, Starry Wilds, City of the Plume, The White Ridge, Tellus City, Black Mountain, Snowdragon Heights) to be untouchable by the 2 biggest/best factions on the server. I think the best way to figure that out, is for the server to look on the total amount of Soulforce the factions have. This way the smaller factions could have fun down there, not worrying about the top 2 factions. The smaller factions can of course attack the whole map, but the two best just can’t attack the nine.
IF a faction owns all 9 territories on the 9 lands, they're not able to attack the other lands. If you own land outside the 9 territories, you're not able to attack the 9 territories until they've lost the land outside.
Once a faction has more than 75% of the land possible in their area (goes for both the area with 9 lands and the rest) then they'll only be able to send in 70 people to defend, but the attacker can still send in 80.


Removing cost for building towers and guards in TW:

I think it would be a good idea to remove the cost of building towers and guards in TW.
this will help the smaller/medium factions, as they can set up all towers at no cost. As I really think the cost is what keep most away.

    Erm.... no. Your (removing resets and untouchable lands) ideas would make TW map more stable and much harder to progress/regress. How is that fun? You need to have a pve TW every 6 months? What a suffer...
    Charms have been plenty on sale for quite awhile now. Fight without it or suck it up. You missed event gold promotion spams? Well too bad.
    TW towers are quite powerful. I think they are worth the cost.

    Sorry to sound annoyed, but I can't see how those changes would be beneficial to the game.

    I don't agree with the ideas. The 6 month resets are what keep or revive interest in Terrotory War for the majority of players in factions other than the top two which sometimes only get a few weeks or months on the map before being picked off or boxed up by bigger factions. Each reset is a fresh chance to try again and for the majority of the factions it's the time when things really start happening as they're working to improve at TW with the fresh start.

    That should not be taken away because the minority who made their choice to collect together into two top factions have no fun for a month or so while their faction gets on the map and steamrolls the small guys while grabbing up land to cover a TW pay amount their members became used to, before attacking the faction(s) that are anything of a fight to them.

    Any faction that is serious about participating in Territory Wars can pull together a basic fund to cover things like the 7 million coin for 14 towers in the instance, and once a faction holds land tower expenses can be covered by the weekly land pay, so I don't see much of a problem there.

    About the idea for a separate or restrictive area of the map, I think this would be more limiting and restrict factions movement and growth than helpful to up-and-coming factions. There are several areas on the map of lesser or no significance to major factions that could simply be left for the smaller guys to fight over (something which does happen on Dreamweaver). If you want to see that continue maybe petition to your faction to keep it that way? I'm sure the factions that have no hope of fighting the top two would appreciate it.

    Tempest goes Swamp of the Wraith > Hidden Orchid > Archosaur > Dreaming Cloud > Dreamweaver > and now SonHaters which will obviously be 100% a no show.

    The main problem is that it really should have taken 4 weeks tops like how we used to quickly grab 1K and push straight on against EQ/Intandem/Dyna/Tempest. b:surrender Would've only needed 1 month at most before TW gets interesting again... b:faint



    I think the main reason people don't do TW anymore is cause NW is less laggy, rewards better, and is more fun. Should definitely up the tw rewards. Everything else is kinda fine the way it is, mainly because if we want new players in the game, they need a chance to see how PvE tw is like. But of course, we should make PvE TW harder. I pretty much won the level 3 pve land with only 3 people, lol.

    I know, but the problem is the fking leaders, that keep trying to avoid eachother. Had I been leader I had went straight for Dyna.. Simply because it's fked up boring otherwise. The leaders of the factions nowdays doesnt seem to want the fights, but rather the cheaper alternative.

    And I dont get why you guys want PvE tw, what more boring is there.. No matter how hard they make it, it'll never be hard enough.. and if they make pve tw as hard as it should be, in order for it to be a challenge, then the average noob will complain its too hard... So no I don't see PvE tw as any option.

    You assume I'm poor? lol noob. I have 1400 event gold left, and I cash whenever I need to. When I dont have event gold I ususally buy 100 Plat hp charms each pormotion to keep myself running. I don't give a damn about rewards, I simply want to encourage peeople to TW - because alot poor newbs complain about the cost, which is understandable with the lack of ways to farm. I want an actual fight in TW like there used to be back with EQ and InTandem. I'm sorry to noob factions, but I'm annoyed at them lol.

    and i dont get why you'd complain about a stable map. Progress is utterly useless when it jsut reset anyway, and who cares who have most land anwyay, isn't it jsut about having fun and ducking it out? and most of the tw population doesnt have fun for a while as it is now.
