as a cleric I have had at times been forced to blacklist folks (noobs mostley and the odd con men) but my question is if I end up in a team with someone who I have blacklisted is it possible to NOT HEAL THEM ,I don't see why I should have to heal them if they are on my blacklist or if I am on theres, I know that I can leave the squad but why should I miss out on a bh just cos of someone else who has been unfortunately put on my no no list, your coments would be greatly listened to. b:pleased well ive have listened to all ur coments and I have deleted my blacklist except the person who stole my toum off me,i cant belive I fell for that old trick, must have been knackerd

Or you could just man up and still heal them. You're a cleric. Your team relies on you. Risking squad wipes just because of one person seems so stupid.

Or at least that's what I do, for the sake of the other people in squad.

I don't blacklist people for more than say a day. So perhaps you should have a 24 hr cycle of cleaning.

As for healing idiots, I tend to heal with the accordance with how they act. If someone is extremely skilled, party-savy, and generally a good team player, they get proper heals, purifies, and saves. If someone is a fool, incompetent, or generally annoying, then my heals will reflect that. I'll adjust that for each individual person so they get what they deserve.

A cleric is the only class that can kill without moving a finger.
    Forever overlooked.
    Forever forgotten.
    Forever alone.

This is a good thing. People don't notice me, and they don't notice the knife whistling towards their throat.

I'l just let them die, and manage to get a rez in 15 seconds before the boss dies.b:victory

If you seem like you know what the hell you're doing, you'll get heals.
If you act like a moron, or try to steal aggro just cause you can, I'll save the squad first.

I also keep a list of known morons and avoid meeting them in squads again.

It's not revenge. It's just making sure the stupid people don't kill the squad.

mmm if you're basing it slowly on your blacklist (and not everyone on your bl is terrible) and not on their performance in dungeon, seems like revenge to me. Anyway, I always thought this type of attitude wasn't a good one. Everyone is going to have to team up with people they don't like eventually. Honestly who cares? A person who is a team player will give as much to their team as they are giving to them, regardless of personal differences. Although no one can force you to heal them. If someone refused to heal someone in my squad, and a result my run was ruined/took forever/otherwise cause problems for me, I wouldn't squad with that said person ever again. I'd rather squad with people that will do their job in squad.

If they are on your list because they are a moron, you can usually figure out within the first few minuets if they still do not know how to do that dungeon. If they are behaving stupidly in squad, might be better not to heal them. But again that should be based on dungeon performance, and not personal grudges. :P

I absolutely agree. I'll heal them. I just won't put the squad at risk doing so. I find runs go a lot faster when we don't have to sit and rez the idiot every 30 seconds. If it looks like this is the situation, I will pointedly tell them that they need to back off or find another way to do things. If they can't or won't abide, I'll have a discussion with the squad lead and we'll usually find someone else to fill the spot or go without.

As a healer, my job is to keep the squad alive. If someone is going to compromise that, I'm not going to go out of my way to keep them alive, to continue putting the squad in danger. I'll make sure they get what they need. I'll also make sure that they know why they aren't getting the heals they think they deserve.

Sure I'll end up getting squadded with someone I know is a complete moron when it comes to playing in a team. I'll do the run. Thanks to my list, I won't be surprised. The "blacklist" approach never works.

If your so picky about who you heal make your own squads and then you won't even see the invite requests from ppl on your BL.

But once you choose to join a squad do your job right don't be a ******* about things.

    2. Find a different squad.

As the EP, just let the squad leader know in pm that you won't squad with player Y because of his dooshiness. 9 out of 10 times the leader will boot player Y and ask you to stay because you are the EP. If not, find a new squad.

    I simply don't squad with people I don't like.
I mostly make my own squads so getting someone else instead isn't a problem.
If I get into a squad with a person I blacklisted I just leave.

When I had my cleric I was the one always making the squad. When someone was acting like a moron or didn't know when to hide when they can't hold aggro, I'd kick them out of squad and killed them. Either replaced them with a fac mate or a friend or carried on my merry way.

Though depending on how much they pissed me off I would rez them, then kill them. Rez them again and kill them again. Until they went to town.

I don't really mess around with blacklist nor do I squad with people on my blacklist. Can't squad with what you can't see whispering you :P Heck I never clear my blacklist. xD

If there's more than one cleric or welll a mystic, you can switch off duty and just DD that way you don't have to heal someone you don't like.

Lol @ everyone that said "do your job". Not all clerics heal, some do damage. As the addage goes "How can you heal if you don't know how to harm?" :P

Wow, completely childish. Get over it or how about not squading up with them. Once you see them in squad, just leave. If you're not going to do your part, you are not needed. You're a cleric should be easy to find another squad.

Wait who says a cleric have to do any healing whatsoever? Last I checked clerics do have attack spells and even seals where they can DD. And a lot do DD if there's more than one cleric/healer/mystic in squad. :s

No one said anything about there being more than one healer. If you are the only healer, you have to heal. If you don't want to heal then reroll to a DD or specify that you are a DD cleric (doubt you'd get a squad though).

Actually you can get a squad playing a class in any role..Sometimes its good to have more than one healer in case well **** hits the fan.

And again who said that cleric's were specifically for one role? It's assumed (as the saying goes, don't assume because it makes an *** out of me and you) that clerics are healed because of the number of heals they have. But if they were solely meant for healing then all they would have would be heals, now wouldn't they?

Also I know this may be a shocker to you, but sometimes you can attack and heal when it's neccessary. Especially when squadmates don't need heals. :|

If you're the only healer in the squad your primary job is healing and secondary is DDing. Keeping the squad alive > your own personal grudges, so if you can't put that aside for the sake of the squad then find a new squad.

But that would still be considered healing the squad, wouldn't it now? A cleric can do many things and most clerics I know both DD and heal a squad at the same time. Yet, until the mystics came we were the only typical 'healer' class. Even if we can DD as well.

If the person you've blacklisted play well, heal them. If not, don't. I have people blacklisted on my cleric because I really don't like them spamming wc, but if I did end up in a squad, of course I'd healed them. In the end, that's why they brought me along.

This might be news to you but people bring clerics along to heal the party. Of course they have attack skills also. How were they suppose to survive in pk end-game and complete quests in early-game? I also play a cleric and my main focus will always be healing, as what the class was intended for.
