Can the GM close the Poll: Remove Purify Proc: Y/N. We had it coming! thread already?Its unfair for the magic users who put time and money into the game.We finally got a good stat on our r9 weapon.Before we didnt have any thing nice like GOF, or Spirit blackhole.The keyboard warriors need to just deal with it.

I must admit, we had a million remove 5aps threads but I don't recall a thread by asking to close those.

and OP, relax, worst case scenario is that after 2 years the proc will have a 20% less chance to activate for a 5th time/sec

I just dont get why would they take away something that alot of us put money into.The thread is about removing purify spell.Not dumbing it down.Im suprised gm's didnt close it a long time ago.

This forum is actually surprisingly good about allowing open discussion on sensitive topics (aps and purify proc being good examples). If we started locking threads because of dissenting opinions, this forum would suck.

I know the trolls can be hard to stomach sometimes, but on the whole it's a price worth paying for the nuggets of actual, good, honest discussion buried in the QQ. :P

Sorry, we do not close threads just because they are controversial in-game topics. The APS users are not breaking forum rules just because they disagree with you. Just as the casters were not breaking rules when they requested the APS mechanic to be nerfed. They made APS less effective as a result of the years of complaints without ever removing it, because of the opinions voiced but that's the way things should work. It's the voice of the customer, and all class needs must be taken into account when implementing game design. Which is why the thread is still there. It also doesn't just cease to exist just because NW isn't active. Most people don't TW, and don't have experience with it in PVE which is why most of the QQ is about NW. That doesn't make it a NW topic, it's a weapon proc. It's the same reason nerf sin threads weren't moved to the sin forum, dungeons and tactics, or pvp tactics. It covered all of those things and affected more than just one aspect of gameplay. And were game changers for the game in general, which was why they belonged in general discussion. Same for purify proc, even if most of the complaints are about NW because that's what causes the most people to complain. It's not a NW skill, after all. You are free to discuss any of the purify weapons benefits, drawbacks, and whether or not those are fair in that thread.

I don't close threads just because I don't agree with them. I close them if they violate rules.We do close threads that try to get moderators to close threads instead of just sending us a PM though, or which are obvious flamebait like this one though. It's also against the rules to attempt to derail a thread just so that it will be closed. I hope that this post finally settles these matters to rest about why it wasn't closed or moved.
