Another story:

Zheii was afk at west so we pulled her with mystics, bm's and seekers to a world boss but they were dead. Someone decided to go to MQ boss because it might do something so I went and did it but I died pulling.

The end.

I didn't know you had died pulling an MQ boss!! LMAO that's so funny 'xD.
-Also another part to that story is the fact that cable was talking to me on skype... while he was pulling my toon across the map, and he didn't say one single word ._.
I killed people when I tabbed back in >_>.

This one time, as a lowly lv90ish cleric, I was farming mobs in hell for DQ. This was before I realized spiders outside were my best bet for both DQ and EXP. I had worked myself into a groove without interruption for a good hour or so. All of a sudden some dude (a barb I think) starts killing the same mobs.

I think to myself ". . .ok, maybe he's got best performance on and just can't see me killing these things". So I move to a different spot and continue killing. The dude again starts killing my mobs.

Rather than move again, I find a place to meditate safely and promptly go afk.

I come back later to find that guy had been asking me to heal him for some boss I had never heard of. Repeatedly.

SUCKER.

That was probably the start of my becoming one of those clerics that just doesn't care. FB99 sealed the deal, but that's a story for another time.

Some time later with the release of the Genesis expansion I was playing on my alt (my seeker I think) for BH51. Of course, clerics were scarce and we were in need of one. But lo and behold a mystic (60-65 some level between there) joins our ranks. I raise an eyebrow at the thought of this newly released class performing on par/better than a cleric for this particular instance. Specifically the last boss: Wyvern. That ****...

I shrug to myself and wait to see how this will play out. Fushma and Rankar are down without much trouble. But the deal breaker comes now.

I psych myself up as we start the fight. Blink a few dozen times and Wyvern is dead. However, no one in the squad shared the same fate.

You sir (or madam) improved my opinion of the class. You made me want to level mystic higher than 50.

Perhaps the most memorable event was watching Proski recruit for Elusive on world chat.

First time I saw it I laughed at how clever it was. Everyone else recruiting for their own faction seemed like they sell used cars for a living. I won't lie though, I started to get annoyed with it. But not from seeing it so many times but because of what I realized was happening.

As a player that came to this game thinking "huh? PvP? That's just silly. BUNNIES AND RAINBOWS FTW!" I didn't understand what Proski (and several others) were trying to accomplish. Even though I did participate in TW, the PvP aspect is not what kept me coming back. It was more an appreciation of the teamwork required in order to tear the opposing factions crystal apart.

Now that I am merely an observer of TW and not actively involved with it. I can somewhat appreciate the reasons now. TW reports would be boring and not worth doing if it was just:

Red faction vs. Orange faction
Orange faction vs. Red faction

Forever.

thanks Generic. I only wish people realized how much more there is to experience beyond these empty standards set by the game that don't tell even half the story. back then, it was the obsession with land, and slaving oneself to FC/TT to reach "end game." now, it's winning a meaningless title and selling yourself out to people with good gear, while narrowing your sights on the latest perk of a stat so you can join the ranks of +12 statues collecting rust in south archosaur. very impressive.

if PWI turned around right now and said alright guys, you can farm .001 attack and defense levels once a day now, I'm embarrassed to admit just how many of the people that I play this game with there are that would put off real opportunities for fun in order to ensure they did not miss a single day's worth of said "farming."

I don't hate anyone on this server, what I hate is that everyone is content with being manipulated, both by the game, and themselves. I'm sure a lot of people will find another reason to hate me after reading this post, but I don't care; I'd rather be a person that gets hated on than a person that does the hating, people need to hear the truth.

This game is our escape from reality, our little hide out, and of-course we then become all absorbed in this hide-out and find ourselves lost in a make believe world where the "best" are the ones who waste their money and time doing useless things to achieve this supposed "bracket of the un-beatable."
I myself am one of these hapless escapees and I am aware of it... and for whatever reason.. I am happy being someone who spends most of her time playing a game and attempting to be this imagined thing called "the best."
Sometimes.. I wish someone could come wake me up.

I get it, there's nothing wrong with wanting to strive for something, but at some point people (generally speaking) need to do themselves the ultimate favor and take a step back, and consider whether they want to go another 8 months of farming for the latest g19 cube necklace or break from their boring habits for a change.

"live life on your terms" the same principle applies to the game, whether people admit it or not. if all you do is go through the motions of a mundane pixel experience that consists of sitting in a cat shop when not farming for the items needed to fill said cat shop, chances are your life will wind up just as dull.

I spend too much time PKing and chatting than actually doing something productive for my gear ._.'
But in the same token.. i don't think I'd be able to play the game any other way... I mean, it's a game it's meant to be fun and etc x3

I moved to this server along with some faction mates from Lost City when the server started. The faction was called Perilous, anyway, some time later I think I was upset with something and so I decided to leave the faction and apply to Narla.

I played a sin back then, I remember I was so nervous about the interview I was going to have on Ventrilo, first ever faction interview. Not only I was afraid I wouldnt get in but there was slight language barrier as english isnt my native. In the end it turned out everything went well, I could answer to questions by typing in chat box b:victory

This was a major switch for me and a good choice, since I joined Narla I started learning a lot of new stuff, more high level content, instances, TW, pretty much everything.

So for all the players that sit in their small factions out there, sometimes its good to leave your warm/safe home and start an adventure of your own !

Narla....back in the day, we had some guy who were either drunk all the time...or just sounded drunk....he really liked english accents....REALLY liked english accents...that put me off vent for some time >.>


The TWs of Narla vs Impulse.....good times....then Elusive vs narla.....good times...Then Zuluisve/Elusive vs Nemesis....good times : O.

I remember when a friend of mine was like 'JOIN THIS GUILD...InMaPantz....just for fun TW'...I was like Kay....like 15 people vs BOAD's guild of 70+. Me being the only wizard in the guild sucked we lost...but 1 hour 30 mins it took them to finish....damn, pretty damn bad.


Me and a friend almost duo'd a world boss.....she got distracted and stopped healing...I died then again, I chose the wrong world boss to kill anyways.


Kiting people for days....especially SK_Take..whatever his name was.....damn he was bad....so bad. I could of kited him all the way to TT...or 1k streams...until cursed 1 shot me with his r9. oh boy.

Then there was the time studmuffinIX was wondering why he couldn't stun me with his so called 'Demon roar of the pride'.....took him 10 mins to realize I was using Fortify on my genie -.-



I know it isn't great stories, but meh...all I can think of. Being old sucks

(I actually have an ss of the time I took down SK in a 1v1, it's so funny cause now he's scared of me x3.)
He's actually gotten a bit better, but yea, he's bad.

I remember having a screenshot....he had all the full rank 9 ****....then his necklace was like.....mold 59 or something (Can't remember).


On another note....I remember when he posted on general forums asking what was better for BM....like...the better version of cloudcharger or a nirvana cape....everyone saw him with like...5 sage skills. He got ripped the **** outta him....poor guy....Im kidding....**** that guy....after what he did (For those who actually remember, he faked some illness, dont recall what....just to leave a guild and join another guild...welp).

I don't have many stories as such, but this one was kinda funny.

running a BH51 for some lower level guildies, and me and another BM are playing aggro ping pong on the bosses. As we're on our way to Wyvern, the rest of the squad falls behind.
Anyway, when we get to the wyvern the other BM asks me to let him tank to see if he can solo it or not. I say sure ok, I'll watch from back here.
when the rest of the squad catches up with us, all they see is me, literally sat in the middle of the floor, watching the other bm tank the boss, whilst typing 'YOURE GONNA DIE' every time his health dipped a bit.
cue plenty of LOL's and SS of me being a lazy bugger and chilling out.
hey, he wanted to solo it!
guess you had to be there, but it made us all laugh ourselves silly for a while.

btw all the people there were from my guild, i wasn't trolling some poor dude who was helping us, i was trolling a friend
