Hi res textures.

I was thinking, it would be nice to have an optional hi-res texture pack or something like that, to make the graphics a little nicer. Anyone think this is a good idea?

    Sure would be nice if PWI could compete with newer MMO's in terms of graphics at least. It'll never happen though.

    The aging game engine can barely handle what has currently been added to it. Increasing the size of the textures will just kill the performance of the client if the base engine doesn't go through a major overhaul. You can fake it into looking better using bloom and such, but it's a PITA and against the ToS.
