Hey, I made a video of me and the wifey doing some multi PV runs mostly for fun, and I"m pretty sure most of you already know how to do em, but i thought i share it anyways

Seems to me it'd be more efficient to just do entire instance one pull.. and with your gear, you really don't need a second person. You'd both get more exp if you could each solo your own instances at the same time.. although I suppose if you didn't have enough alts to open instances, you may have to do them together
edit: also, you don't need to tele stone to get out.. it is actually faster to use the quest to port out (and cheaper), and you can p.marrow in pv, 99% of the damage coming in is physical.Youtube Channel: youtube.com/user/D2VeT/videos?flow=grid&view=0

I made a Nix valley solo video a couple months ago but the exposure was so dark it was pretty much a black screen...HF! FISSURE! HIGHLAND, black screen....
Need to figure out how to correct the exposure. I use Fraps.
I do my Nix in 2 pulls. (first pull the the close edge of the water, then second to boss). I need to figure out how to successfully do 1 pull but most the most reset, even if I walk the whole time. Or I spend so much time reaggroing its a pain.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -

I usually just change my in game brightness (gamma) to 90-100 I believe, and that fixes the issue with it being too dark0 -

That's what I do. I use bandicam. I want the full version0 -
Here's a darker version. Kind of a nubbly run where I got frozen alot but oh well.
Solo Nix run.
Edit: Hey, Gamma adjustment worked. Its I'd, I'd tried it before. It doesn't make a difference in game graphics or lighting, just video recordings. I'll shoot another video tonight where people can actually see whats going on.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -
Here's an actually viewable version of a solo Nix valley run. Take it for pointers or toss me advice and help me out.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0

2 things I would like to talk about from the video. 1) Having reflect is so helpful with large pulls. You don't have to take the time out to hit a group of mobs to establish agro so they won't rest. 2) When you do take the time to hit a group, is that for paint heals so you don't tick? I assume so but you know what happens when one assumes. Only thing I can see to make it better it to refine claws more. It looks like they are +5 when you show them, but I'm sure you're already working on that.0 -
@Sakubatou - The run looked pretty good, but there are a few minor things that might improve it slightly. The first thing is to do the entire instance in one pull, if you are worried about dying at the end, just use an IG at the end and you'd be fine. This next tip.. take with a grain of salt because I do it with a purify wep.. and it may or may not make sense on a BM (mainly because you don't get perma free holy path), but it is to run to the edge of the walls more (which requires more zig-zagging and probably more speed boosts). A lot of mobs that randomly walk around run up the walls, and you have to basically be at the base of the walls to aggro them. You can see this a lot more if you are comfortable looking behind you as you pull the instance.. which also has another benefit of allowing you to see when mobs begin resetting (which I have a feeling happened a bit in your pulls). You can also look into level 1 earthquake and/or whirlwind to hit mobs with genie without the risk of taking a lot of damage (also earthquake is great if you just got immo'd.. knocks close mobs away from you for a second).
You can take a look at how I do PV on a wizard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rfbe2uFWdM beginning at the 9:48 mark. I chose the spots that I hit the mobs based on when I saw mobs resetting in the past (and where knocking them back wouldn't push them up the walls causing them to reset), which you might find useful if you decide to do single pull instances. In all seriousness though, your run looked fine, you probably got 90% of the possible experience in the instance.. and at best could shave off a few seconds from the run. If you want to make your runs slightly more efficient, there is probably a little room for improvement.. but they are good enough you could probably just say they are sufficient and continue doing them the same way :PYoutube Channel: youtube.com/user/D2VeT/videos?flow=grid&view=0

I have yet to try a full pull with reflect doing all the aggro. As I understand it they have proximity aggro meaning as long as you're close they stay aggroed, but the reason I stop where I do is thats where mobs seem to reset. I'm about 12 days away from 104 so nix runs are valuable and I don't want to lose a day due to failed experiments like having half an instance reset on me or... ya know... just dieing because I failed a full pull. Once I hit 104 I'll try that out. Thanks.
And you're right, the reason I stop and hit the mobs is to reaggro (just in case) and for the paint heals. I'm never charmed but I let the paint heal me so I can just keep running. Then sometimes I just get frozen and aoe while I sit there.
My claws are G16 +10 with an exclusive garnet, -int, +19 str and +18 vit. Think the killing issue was just the 3.33 base since I didn't cyclone. I normally do but my timing was slightly off because of Fraps lag. Alot of time my Highland Cleave procs, too, so I don't need to bother with cyclone. My axes are r9t3 but only +5 as I wait for rerolls.Adroit - Lost City wrote: »@Sakubatou - run to the edge of the walls more (which requires more zig-zagging and probably more speed boosts). Lol, open a link and see a google tab titled "prepare your ****."
The reason I stop at the front edge of the second water is because its where mobs start reseting in my experience. Even when brambled I think. And I think I get about 97% of the exp since a huge portion is in the boss and frogs, and I get like 95% of the mobs. More would be great but with only 2 x 15 second sprint (and one of them eating a spark) and proximity aggro I'm not sure I can zig zag the much without making the run longer.
Earthquake I use on my casters but for a bm it'd knockback my target, make me run, make me take more damage while I'm not attacking. Beautiful skill for ranged dd but not for melee. And I use my Fissure like whirlwind.
What my goal is... Right now I can do 5 runs per token and I'm in shroud so 10 runs a day. I normally manage 8 or 9. Sometimes less just because of shortage of openers or boo-boos like screwed up pulls and death. I'm okay with the run speed and doing it in 2 pulls, since I still get 8-10 total. Its the hyper time that gets me. At 8 runs a day thats about 15 minutes of hyper time. I'd like to extend my first pull so that I can start my hypers later and therefore use less hypers per run.
I'll also try IGing at the end instead because right now 4-5 runs is around 300k in repair bills which hurts. If I can IG while I have all the mobs hitting me I should save a couple hundred thousand a day, lol.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. nice saku, get removed paralysis on genie instead of Occult ice though, might consider making a new genie for PV if you gonna solo nix till 105.With so much spirit 71+ genie should be easiliy makeable.. But was good, and yea bramble or that psychic reflect buff helps a lot.0

Soul of Vengeance... I actually have a sage psychic and that skill just waiting to be learned.
Btw, for those looking to earn spirit for making genies Nix valley is awesome. I think I make like 7m a day in spirit and have over 300m.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -
Humm I will try and do a full pull with bramble and SoV and see what happens so you don't have to waste a run. I will try and run the whole thing with my triple holy path genie and then try it with just self speed buffs and see what happens.0

How many runs can your do per pv token?Find the solution to Laplace's equation at X=2, Y =3, OR bend over b:cry0
