    no and you're missing out on defence levels, better refines and better bonusses

    There's nothing wrong with picking gear that's aesthetically pleasing. I have a r8r bow with def levels just coz I thought it looked cool. I'll probably make a warsoul bow too. As for what I use most often? r9 :<

    A few questions, though. A +12 g14 cube neck but a +12 g16 belt? Why limit just one to being g16?

    I always liked the physical cube neck better simply because it gives some added mdef versus the hp/pdef of the other one, but you may place a different value on one over the other. I also like the jr belts more than the warsoul belts simply because I like trolling people with stats and they used to be cheaper if made in jr (at least the g15 one used to be, I have no clue now).

    If you have enough money to do that, you have enough money to go r9rr...

    If you just really need to have the look of it, just make 1st cast Nirv chest/pants/boots/wrists armor to wear around sz or something.

    As a player that hasn't bought a single piece or use fashion, I find Myriad Blossom and Abyssal [101 Morai (or the more expensive version R9R3)] are the best look LA armor sets.

    Because there are way more incentives to have a full set G16 over G15
    1. More p-def,
    2. more m-def
    3. more def lvl
    4. more att lvl
    5. more hp per refine
    6. full tradable if u use myriad's to upgrade

    But if you really want something non-mainstream, you might want to consider R8 recast. Slightly better defences than G15 nirvana. Example: use 4 piece r8r braces/legging/chest/boots + G16 cape/helm. Recasting is pretty cheap with NW tokens. Non-tradable but you may play around with the recast to unique sets of stats which are not available on other armors.
    They also have nice set bonus:
    2 piece: Max HP +1300 (+700hp extra from the G16 bonus)
    3 piece: Interval Between Hits -0.1 sec
    4 piece: Atk. Level +15

    If you really want something non-mainstream, i would do something that is truely non-mainstream. Like the guy who just posted about his axe-cleric. That is something different.
    You give the impression to just take an inferior set of equipment because noone else uses it. It does make me think you are just trolling actually because i cannot imagine people honestly and seriously considering this as a good attempt to be different :)

    I never did understand the reasoning behind going for a build that "nobody else has" just because it's different, when you could easily upgrade the gear in question to a much better version. If it's what makes you happy, go for it. Though being a hipster seems to be more detrimental than anything, given your choice of inferior gear that you could quite easily upgrade to something competitive.

    Oh well. As long as you're having fun yo.

    Um I have a question, wouldn't vitstones be better then the Defense levels? There is so little, why not just use more vitsones?

    I for one do support non-mainstream builds, and use them myself too. Might I suggest, if you're going for aesthetics as well, to use the s2 helm and cape rather than s3? That full-set visual effect is pretty awesome looking. I just put on a full s2 set myself and am quite happy with the look.
