Hello peoples, I already posted this in the counting thread, buuuuut I still need some more responses, so I'll just make a thread on it xD!

Here's my survey <

Basically I'm doing research on how gamers define cheating in video games, and I'm also looking at when trying to define this, are things like walkthroughs and even friends helping considered cheating and is cheating in a single player game different from an mmo and so on.

So... yea, I'd appreciate it very much if you guys could help f:thanks! (And send it to others if ya can :3)

    Wonder what you intend to do with it. You ask questions where a sensible answer will be multiple pages long and you want it in 1 line.

    Then you ask a question about cheating in single and multiplayer. Do you mean for myself personally ? or if i think other people should do it or not ? So i could not answer that question either.

    Very interesting and well worded survey. I gotta admit I ticked something at the education question though. No clue what those equal with German education system. f:defeat

    Ah, I know which questions you're talking about, well first I'm a novice at this xD, I've never done a research paper before, let alone tried to create a servey for people (I know, shouldn't be an excuse, buuut.... eh).

    But to answer that, I really was looking for a more generalized answer, not a super-detailed one.

    I'm sorry if this wasn't more clear, that's for you, "what do you think about it" "do you think that cheating is acceptable in multiplayer, single player, both or neither?

    Filled out. I think it was good survey, but with the differences of education system, I did not find my degree in the listing. I would also have hoped you had included strategy games as a genre to pick. They are a very large genre.

    Hope my ~10 years of gaming has benefited you.

    Ye that was a strange thing to me too. Espescially since for me it is THE genre :) (I actaully play MMORPG now because playing RTS proved too addictive to me.... Solution doesnt seem to work too well though b:chuckle)
    And for the topic of cheating, few cheating methods are as distructive to fair gaming as maphacks in RTSes imo.

    Hmm, good catch. I was looking for all the various types of games and, wtf I forgot one. Thanks for giving me some critiques as well, I'll remember that next time lol ^^
