Those who frequent it have probably ran into it a few times.

The que system for the event some times breaks causing some players to not be able to enter. The quest gets loops but it never finishes like its looking for a spot in one of the 4 areas but cant find one. But I know there is room in them.

If one of the instances is full it should be attempting to send to 1 of the 4 areas. But even so this seems to happen on days when there barely any people in them. Not sure what causes this problem. Eventually the que times out and you get your money back...

But occasionally but "not" always if you re log when this happens you can get sent to one of the areas. Most the time the quest loops tell you get your money back.

Also this event announces scores the day before or the day after the event in World Chat (I kinda forget which one it was atm if someone can verify that).

Hi Yakko, can you break this issue down for me? Please use this format so I can reproduce it. I'm honestly having a hard time deciphering the issue.

Thursdays, at around 20:00 or 21:00 server time or something

Spaced it out some... Makes sense to me. It's a quest that sometimes gets stuck in a loop that is supposto send you to 1 of the 4 instances. But it doesn't always work... So broken quest or quest loop... What ever you wana call it.

This is the parent quest: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/quest/15968

The secondary quest "City of Wraiths" lasts for 5 seconds and apparently chooses one of the four instances for you to enter. But sometimes it loops back and forth between City of Wraiths/Fighters of Abominations over and over with no apparent reason.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing as yakko described. It first started happening to me about 2 or 3 updates ago. I haven't been able to get in ever since then. It's like it gets stuck in a weird loop or something and finally just kicks my money back. It's really frustrating. Glad to know it's not just me; as my brother gets in just fine; sometimes after it's already kicked me my money back. It kind of reminds me of when you try to load a webpage and it keeps cycling until the page times out.

i am wondering if it is not an issue at all. the loop could happen if say your timer goes to zero, but another persons hit zero first with the same chosen instance so being first inline they go in, your counter gets restarted. i have encountered this every time i went to coa but always got in. it just took a few cycles or non at all

Nah it's definitely something wrong. There aren't that many people in CoA that would cause it to take up to eight minutes to resolve.

Unrelated to this problem, but could it also get fixed where you don't get kicked to Arch when you disconnect in CoA?

thats only 96 people for a 8 min span at 1 person every 5 seconds. I am sure atleast that many compete. There are usually 20+ people waiting at the west npc on RT's by itself. From a programming aspect that is very feasible to see this kind of wait on a first in first out rotation.

    This happens to me too.

I found that i have to wait longer (on the quest loop glitch) when i try to enter within seconds of the quest appearing at the pup. If i wait like 20-30 sec after the start of the event- then try to enter, the wait time seems to be reduced.

In the past it has taken almost all of the 10 min buffer time to finally get in- but i've never not got in.

Why does everyone completely ignores the GM when they reply?

Unfortunately, I have not been able to reproduce it at will, so I cannot provide a detailed step. I will tell you what I do when it does happen:

    1. Log in with any character 50+.
    2. Talk to either the Adventure Assistant or the Khatru Pup between 20:50 to 21:00 server time.
    3. Take the quest "Fighters of Abominations"

RESULT: Observe that the quest timer loops infinitely and never teleports you into the instance.

The problem is, the result is not always the same, and I have not been able to determine what exactly cause it. I have determined however, that relogging right before taking the quest seem to consistently prevent this problem from happening. The problem with relogging is of course, you loose all buffs.

Perhaps being in the game for an extended period of time causes problem with quests like this?

This used to happen to me regularly. I'm fairly certain it has something to do with quest lag causing the 5 sec quest to timeout before resolving. I believe they've monkeyed with the timers because it seemed to be fixed for a while and then was broken again, and now better again, at least for me.

When I was still experiencing this bug regularly, my best remedy was to restart the client shortly before the event to clear out any quest lag. This would work the majority of the time in preventing the bug. On the instances where it didn't work, and I saw that the quest keep resetting, I'd log off and then log back on. As long as there were still available spots, the quest would resolve and I'd get ported in.

Yea i'll agree, CoA or Fighters of Abominations is not working well. As in, i just got in tonight, at 10 minutes AFTER its started. Not 9 o'clock, but 9:10. Are You kidding?!! And how many people were in there, i saw 3. I ran from one side of the city(?) to the other to my spot and saw no one in there. This is a serious problem. If You're going to run an event weekly, can't You get people in ????

Thanks PWI, remember how much money i've paid into Your constant rippofffff
