Picking a New server, Need advice.

Hello everybody!!!

As the title says im picking a new server, I am currently on archo and rather bored with it after being here since the start of the server opening.

And i have been on a few other servers before archo... but only with level 60 toons on them.

Im based in Australia. so East and West coast servers are always a 300 ping minimum. and 2 k with lag spikes.

Now i would very much like to know these questions bellow...

How are the players there? (eg. Rather rude people, or really nice, alot of drama in world chat etc etc (Yes i know this is mostly not avoidable in all servers)

The Currency prices on Endgame gear (Nirvana wise)

I basically want to know those two things above, since its rather important to me since im making another veno :3 but an AA one rather than a HA one. (but might change later in the days of player)

Add anything else you would like or think that is needed XD


Im preferably looking for PvE Servers.

    how's your ping on the European servers. If its better i would say maybe you should give them a try. Soon the two servers are going to be merged into one server.

    Been on them, I didn't like it much still same ping XD to me its nota big deal, the game runs perfectly either way.

    Well, I play HL obviously, but I'd recommend a newer PVE server like Raging Tides if lag isn't an issue, they seem to have pretty smart people there.

    Heaven's Tear, I didn't tried others, but there you can find helpful and friendly faction even at low lvl.

    Ahaha i got an old Veno with a Nix on Dreamweaver... >.< Was tinking on going there and accountstashing her nix rather than paying for a new one XD

    Bumping this thread from page 2 to throw in my support for HT. :P

    Having played on Archosaur myself, I can personally tell you that HT has a much larger population and you won't always be getting the same few people for BH squads. Prices for most things are generally lower too. Just understand that fewer people on HT powerlevel in Frost than they do on Arch (and so much the better, too).

    Sanctuary is kinda like HT's sister server (both PVE, both opening-day servers), so you might have good luck on that one as well. I wouldn't recommend any others.

    EDIT: As far as the people go... HT does have its share of elitists and trolls, but as long as you don't plan to do TW it shouldn't be an issue.

    I play from Europe.

    I'm on Raging Tide since Sep 2009, when it was new.
    I found lot of friendly (and helpful) people, and prices
    of gear and mats are decent.

    Then I met my GF on "some" private server (won't advertize
    which one it is) and came to her Heaven's Tear, where people
    are also very good. Today is my fourth day and my Seeker is
    level 55 from just questing. Solo for now, because she has
    some things to finish with accountant for her RL shop.

    For example, TT mat prices are mostly a bit
    higher than on RT, but endgame gear prices
    are pretty close on both servers.

    Yes, both servers have bit of drama in WC from time
    to time, but you can say it's less than 5%.

    On RT you can see few more catshops around
    than on HT, and prices in them are just slightly
    lower in, say, 90% of cases.

    Pick server randomly, make noob on it (class that
    you plan to work on if stay on the server), level
    in couple of hours to 30 or so, then read WC for
    few days and go around to see shops.

    During those few days also do your questing and
    see how many people helped even without asking.
    Or how easy you see in WC that someone shouts
    for "more for BH39 (or FB51)...".

    You might as well go to Dreamweaver in that case so you won't have to spend money again to buy the pet if you want it b:surrender

    Oh! did you mean PWI servers? Well...I wouldnt go anywhere. Uh I meant, go anywhere..human beings are slowly on the verge of extinction in all of them..

    Join Lost City, there is 'free teleport to the nearby cities." That is very convenient for when you do your quests (especially your 2nd cultivation b:infuriated). After you finish your quest, somone can pk you, and you'll be back to the city for the next step. b:thanks

    Lost City is the best we got all the good players such as: Ichigo_K, ThizCactu, and not to mention Cactubolo.
