Almost level 80(weapon question)

Hello,

Since my archer is almost level 80 I'm going to buy a new weapon soonish...

I checked the TT weapons for ranged level 80ish. What noticed was there are few Xbows a slingshot.

But there are 2 weapons that need a souledge unicorn. It also states it gets bound...

What does that mean? If you equip it, it will be bound. You cant unequip it afterwards? Or what does that mean actually....

So if thats probebly not a good idea to get a bound item, which weapon would be best for an archer at level 80 who isnt very rich? Ps: if it's possible I like bows alot more than xbows, for the looks ;p

    It means that once the weapon has been equipped you will no longer be able to trade it with other players, to put it simply. You can still equip and unequip it but it won't be something you can give to anyone else, it won't drop upon death in PvP, and so on.

    As for your question on weapon choices, we have several threads on it, the most recent of which is here that all will basically say the same thing.

    This. It's important to note that all items retain their bind status on upgrading as well. Which you'll need to know if you're considering TT99 or Lunar later on, as tt99 binds upon equip and lunar does not. You also will not be able to sell the item to an NPC, you'll have to destroy it if you want to get rid of it. You can still put it in account stash.

    There are two bound TT80gold weps, one sucks the other is the crimsonhorn: soulsmasher. I wouldn't get it unless you plan on using it till at least 90 and prolly much longer.

    The free Guardian of the Realm from divine quests is perfectly good for 80-88 and after that the free Windcatcher is a good wep.

    Soon FC will work again and you probably wanna do that instance. Its really a lovely instance to play when youre lvl 80. The unfortunate side effect however is that you will soon be level 90. So no, i wouldnt waste money on bount lvl 80 gears :)
