    It would depend on your gear, really. As -interval gear greatly biases the sling depending on how much you have stacked. Also, aesthetics play a role in it since I know plenty of archers that refuse to use slings :P

    slingshots are always 2 sockets plus they have the int on them, if ur demon i would think a slingshot would be the better option for higher damage output.

    How do slingshots always have two sockets? Unless you meant that his sling already has two sockets.

    no i mean all g16 slingshots come with 2 sockets. its the only weapon that does i think, unless the poleblade does as well, i cant remember.

    Slings deal the most consistant damage, which make them the best for PVE. Crossbows have the highest damage range and spike damage. Bows are in the middle of those two. What you +10 depends on your playstyle, what you're doing with your toon. Are you strictly PVE or do you occasionally PVP? All factors like this come into play when you're choosing your weapon. I'd personally pick the bow, just because the occasional spike makes you more deadly. I am not a fan of slingshots at all personally. If the little aura you get from having 2 socs makes you pick the sling w/e. Its your toon, do what you want to do with it, I can't emphasize that enough.

    I am a rank 9 archer, so I am rocking a bow. I didn't get a choice but the bow I definitely like the most out of the 3 choices we get.

    Holy ****, the s1 and s2 versions also come with two sockets. o.O And here I thought I was just stupidly lucky. Oh well... at least I loved my first roll of s2 enough to stick with it. XD

    EDIT: And yet, only for the Lunar versions... the TT ones have the normal 90/10 socket chances. o.o

    I like how this is totally novel to all of us. I wish it worked that way from sling --> bow. I used a cheapo Lunar sling I found to make a g16 bow, and the bow wasn't 2 sockets :(

    Yes, crafted slings always comes in 2 sockets. More likely due to an error on the dev's side if you ask me.

    Surprised no one takes into account cost of ammo or effects of ammo. I sell dragotennas for 13c each while npcing sling shot ammo for 1c.

    Because the cost of the higher-grade ammo is not really worth the minor increases it gives. You get better ammo for PvP in the faction base and, in PvE, you don't need to spend more as the lowest level ammo is sufficient.

    i chose sling shot over bow because it is faster than bow, with interval stuff it is good but bow have purge at 101

    Bow because of attack speed as well as higher spike damage from when you need to use skills (zhen, metals on the occasional heavy)
