Dominance/Emperor Tome Question

I just had a quick question about crafting the new tomes from NW. I have a bound Love up and Down tome, and I have heard from multiple sources that after its made into a Dominance or Emperor from there, that it becomes unbound, I just mainly wanted to check if this was true or not. Thank you.

    The new tome will be bound if the original tome is bound. (At least that is what I was told by someone that made it out of a bound tome.)

    I don't know one way or the other, but it would not follow the pattern of other bound gear being still bound on upgrade if the new tome were unbound.

    As a rule of thumb, anything crafted from a bound item will retain the bound status.

    There were multiple cases with my faction mates where the level7 tome was bound, and upon crafting Dominance it became unbound. I've seen it happen 2 times, but just want to make sure before I waste 40 SoW's making something.

    How is it a waste? You just bind the result if that is your desire. It's not like binding charms are that expensive.

    Because the Love up and Down tome is on another character on another account, if I can't make it into Dominance, which becomes unbound, and then trade it to this character, its a waste to me.

    It is gonna be bounded. The same rule applied with all bounded items too.

    Unfortunately, the majority is wrong here.

    It seems to only apply to the new Dominance/Emperor tomes. I've seen it happen to a friend of mine firsthand, where she had a bound L:UaD tome, and when she upgraded it, it became unbound.

    Any other bound item, when upgraded, will remain bound as far as I know. It's just these tomes act strangely.

    Would this work with lower lvl tomes? Bind one of the lvl 1 tomes, and make a lvl 2 tome, see if it comes out bound or not? Doesn't cost much to make lvl 1 tomes. Also could be rules apply to these tomes, but not the lvl 7,8,9 tomes.

    That would be something new to test, as no one really has a reason to bind a level 1 tome.

    Unless it's changed recently, I know prior tomes would stay bound from firsthand experience Back when Rebirth was just getting figured out, I bound my super rare and expensive level 3 tome. Then post-packs when pangus were finally able to be made, I figured I'd make one and sell it off but... the tome I used it to craft was also bound.

    It's probably just an odd exception for the new tomes. Maybe it uses slightly different crafting mechanics or something.

    Every tome I've made were even one of the three were bound the new tome was bound.
    I've never made one higher than Pan Gu so I don't know about those level 7 or new NW tomes.

    I can only speak for myself but when i upgraded my BOUND love up n down it became an UNBOUND Dominance! happy days!

    This happens with the NW ring upgrades as well. Not sure about the rest of the NW upgrades.

    But yes, it will be unbound.

    Concerning the Emperor tome, can u only make emperor from the dominance for which love up and down was used?

    In other words, can u only make Emperor from upgrading love up and down? or can other lower lv tomes b used?

    You can upgrade any of the tomes that come from the scroll of tome e.g the +45 mag/str/vit tomes. Unfortunately you can not make them from lower level tomes so you are limited to buying one of these tomes or winning a scroll of tome from packs.

    i've made both the dominance and emperor. started with a bound love up and down. both the new tomes were unbound
