I can't talk with Warui over skype, Decusy >: Or Circe. Or Kossy because she won't share skype and therefore we all have to chat(her calling the counting thread the spamming thread) or discuss things with her on the forum if we want to talk to her, for examples.

Anyway, to the meat conversation:
The reason I mentioned terrestrial as apposed to non-terrestrial was simpily because those are the meats that do and don't make me sick, not because I was saying one was more or less a meat than the other x3 Judging a meat based on mammalarity seems a little silly to me.

I am just stating my opinion. There's a messaging system that exists for that very purpose. To be clear, I have nothing against forum games. I don't personally like them, but it's not my place to tell other people what they should do for fun. I do, however, have something against meaningless +1 threads and I have a problem with spamming. I love the mods and I applaud their efforts, but when some threads a closed for being +1 threads and others are left open that are the very same thing, it irks me a bit. (And yes, before someone tells me, I have brought it to the attention of said mod.)

@Decus. I am not mad that you share your opinion with us but...sometimes I want to chat with more than one of the people posting here at once. Something I assume you are aware private messaging does not allow. Sometimes people who I did not expect or previously know come on here and start chatting and I get to know THEM as well. And that is wonderful normally I do not know Ven or Zan or Zheii outside of PWI and cannot even change my Skype because of Windows 8 not letting me switch over to my gaming account (the primary one affiliated with my computer is a professional one I use when I have to attend meeting while over seas). So this is both the most convenient and the most fun. I would have never met the wonderful people I mentioned before had it not been for your much disliked "spam thread". The mods can permanently make my post count zero for all I care. To some of us it is about fooling around and being silly with like minded people (PWI players) on the OFF TOPIC forum of a game we can all have in common.
I know you will fall back on the "in the rules right here it says..." Argument but...you came on a forum about Zan needing Zheii and diverted both the no-harm silliness of the current topic and the first post topic to tell us what a mod should do. Which you are not. When I post in Raging Tides forums it is a RT discussion only with maybe small asides. When I post in psy forums it is about the topic we psys are discussing. When I post in the off topic forum? You guessed it. Off topic. I made friends being silly in this forum thread that I would not have had we taken away the freedom we are given in this particular section of the forums.

I am not pretending to be a mod, nor do I pretend to tell them what to do. I do, however, believe in questioning the actions of people with power because that is how balance is maintained in the world. A system without rules or oversight is a bad system. I am aware that you cannot PM multiple people, and I do sympathize with the desire to talk to many at a time. We each have our own interpretations for the rules and the purposes of threads. As I said before, I just want to understand the criteria for this versus other, similar threads that were closed.

While you, personally, have no desire to increase your postcount, it has been the explicit aims of others. That is my problem, not you personally.

I didn't say that I wanted them all closed. I said I wanted to understand why some were and some weren't.

That kind of thread would have never reach page 2 6 months ago and would have been closed asap. It's not even a thread it's a chat.

For people that want to talk to many people, there's chats that exist or make a petition to get a chat on PWI forum if you want, I'll sign it.

You probably all use Facebook to get blessing, make a little group and talk there.

There's people that talk less then that and get told to use pm for it, this is a 64 pages of convo mainly by 3-4 persons.

I think it's sort of like when the teacher (read GM) needs to leave the classroom and puts a student he/she feels is the most responisble in charge to keep order. Teacher also gives him keys (read mod power) to [something]. The student (read mod) will feel a bit responsible, but still side with his classmates and do things with them which they are not supposed to do - wheather the reason is feeling accepted/popular in class or just enjoying the same thing.

If it's from that sort of perspective, it's a pro/con thing I guess. I mean, sure they could close it. However, this thread is serving a purpose, and though it is acting as a chat of sorts every forum does that. They're all chats, regardless of the time between replies. This thread hurts nobody, nor does it interfere with their daily posting. So it gets put up in "Today's Posts", nobody who doesn't care about it will see it otherwise and can very easily ignore it. Until it goes downhill and gets trolled to death I can't see why it'd really need to be closed, especially when it serves as a place to just chill out and kinda do whatever.

No harm in the thread. Do not by threatened by it darlings.

I've thought about this a very long and it does seem unfair that this thread was not locked or depth'd, when the original purpose of this thread was fulfilled. Even in the OP it admits it should be. Then again, this forum does need a chit chat thread similar to the sanctioned one in Heaven's Tear for people across servers. Since I didn't even know what to do to serve both needs I just kinda left it open. :P

But you're right, this thread make it look like certain threads are allowed to break the rules when others are not. Threads are supposed to serve a purpose, not just get spammed constantly. And it has seem to created the impression that breaking the rules are okay. And it is definitely not. So I have finally decided on something that I hope pleases everyone a little. I'll understand if I get flack for this (Please do pm me) or if it needs to be reversed later, but for now I'd like to see how this will work. I ask that you guys please go to this thread http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=19123041 instead which doesn't open with "before this is locked or depth'd" and breaks the rules right in it's op. As for this thread, since it should've been locked long ago for being a spam +1 thread after being a private message sent via forum. I'm going to do so now. It really should have been depth'd to remove the post counts. But it's our fault that it wasn't so I'm just going to close it. I'll try to do better in the future.
