So me an wife both play together in same squad and same room in the real world. We are in a battle and it is over. I ranked 1st and got less points than she did ranked 3rd. I was a different class than her but still that seems messed up.

    She carry the flag or heal/buff a heck of a lot or something? Might be base points + bonus points for specific actions. Only thing that pops into mind.

    The rank at the end of a battle seems to be relatively meaningless. I've ported into a battle right as it was ending and gotten rank 1. Probably based on soulforce or maybe class-based like Tiger event.

    She was digging the flag.

    Flag capture does not contribute to combat ranking but awards an extra 165 points at the end (+10% bonus on winning, -60% penalty on losing instances).
