Little confused about the wedding and summoning Ex...

Yesterday went to my best friend's wedding and they have planned to get 100k contribution points for the permanent fashion.
We had around 30+ people who came to celebrate, dig, and kill Jealous Ex(s).
What ended up happening was that we summoned the Ex about at least 12 times (lost exact count but definitely more than 10) in order to reach 100k contribution points.
We had enough people to keep digging the bouquet through out the whole wedding and rest of the people killing Ex.
So we finally reached 100k little after the 10 minutes left notice, bride/groom ended the wedding and they didn't get their rewards from the pack while everyone else did.
They had enough bag space but just glitched up after spending about 80m for the summons.
That part will be taken care of (I hope) since my friend sent a ticket with a screenshot of mine that I had mouse hover over the wedding invitation indicating that it was their wedding with the 100k contribution notice in the chat box.

Sorry for the long intro but anyway question is, I was told from others and read around the forum that it usually takes about 7~8 summons for 100k contribution.
Anyone know why it took more than that for my friend's wedding?
I need to know because I'm also going to be holding a wedding soon and now I need to plan out how much more coins I should be giving to a friend to summon them for me while I had already planned out for approximately 8 summons worth...

The contribution points were bugged. I had a similar issue with my wedding when I did it. We had plenty of people (certainly more than 30+) and we summoned about 8 Jealous Ex.
We didn't even reach 100,000 contribution and we had to send a ticket. Luckily we received our packs after the following maintenance.

If you don't get enough contribution by summoning 6-8 Jealous Ex or if you end up having to summon much more than that, then it means something is not working properly.

The Chapel is known to be extremely bugged and glitchy. Not sure about the Phoenix Nest (I've only been there once) but most of the Chapel events I've been to were bugged :/

When the contribution reaches 100k, the groom need to take the quest Groom's Diamond Ring (First Prize) from the wedding planner in order to get a diamond ring and the fashion pack. While the bride need take the corresponding quest Bride's Diamond Ring (First Prize). Do NOT END the wedding before getting the prizes.

I dont think there is a bug. The wedding guide is just off. Every wedding that I have been, the number of Ex's were more than 10. Sometimes, you might just get lucky if people are digging a lot of real bouquets. But to be safe, bring as much money as you can.

Ugh seriously? We had to summon it far more than 8 times and I just thought that was normal. In the end we paid more than we would have probably just buying the fashion from the Bidding Hall.... and we didn't get the reward either. But they resolved that problem pretty quickly without our tickets of the 100k points so I'm fine with that.

I probably would have deterred Elena from trying for the fashion if I'd known it would take so many Jealous Ex summonings, but we went in thinking it would only take 6-8 as well. And then, of course, you just get determined to finish it. xD

hmm interesting, thank you for the replies.
However, my friend also looked and asked around and was told that it shouldn't be more than 9 summons...
Did anyone have had/been to a wedding that summoned less than 10 Ex summons for 100k contribution?

The chapel is severely glitched. Ny wedding on my veno we reached around 60k contri then the wedding failed completely, no guests got rewards and somehow or another I got the bride fashion anyway with a gold ring. My husband on the other hand took the ring quest but never got it nor did he get fashion. Luckily this glitch worked out to my benefit but that instance has some serious issues.

Why would the "bride and groom" pay for the jealous ex's? They paid enough for the "wedding"

Those that get invited should pay for one or two ex's, as a gift to the "happy couple" unless of course, its someone dual clienting that is marrying themselves, then in such a case they should pay their own.

There were friends who were chipping in to summon few times, but it's up to them for however they want to get it done, not everyone is willing to pay coins for the summons.
If you want to get the fash and have fun at the wedding together with everyone and you can afford it yourself, then they can do that.
There's no rule for how to get that done.

I think the amount of people participating in the Chapel plays a role as well as... what kind of gear they have? I'm not sure exactly how the contribution points from Jealous Ex are calculated, to be frank, so this is just an assumption.

The one time I was to a wedding that surprisingly didn't glitch at all I'm certain they summoned about 7 or 8 Jealous Ex. Didn't really count but it's definitely less than 10.

That's what I think, so that they can kill the Ex's fast enough for multiple summons and reach the contribution before the instance time runs out.
We had good enough geared people to kill the Ex's pretty fast, just that there were a bit of cap in time for summoning them for more coins (we thought it shouldn't be more than 8 summons).

That said, I just read Desdi's reply that she went to 7-8 summon wedding.
Did anymore people here have had/been to a wedding that summoned less than 10 Ex summons for 100k contribution?

You didn't mention in your post (@OP) that they picked up the quest Groom's Diamond Ring/Bride's Diamond Ring, you MUST pick that up before the wedding ends to get your prize or else the 100k contribution goes to complete waste.

Someone else who posted on the first page already menioned that, I can ask her again if she did or not but that's not the main question I asked here on the thread.
That part was to just explain a bit about what happened at the wedding.
Main question was why we ended up summoning it a lot more than we expected to, which we were told about 8 times to reach 100k points.
From reading other's posts, it seems that instance itself glitches a lot.
So now my question is changed to who else has had or been to a wedding that you only had to summon the Ex less than 10 times unlike 12+ times my friend had to.

If the bride and groom are the ones that want the fashion, why should the guests pay 5.8 mil per summon? We had several summon for us, but he brought a second character in so that we could summon on our own as well. I would never expect people to spend that kind of money so that I could have a dress.

I summoned 9 times, Lady Annalyse summoned 3 times, and my friend summoned 8 times. We barely made it to 100k in time, and had to submit a ticket to actually get the fashion.

It's good to see that our 17 summons werent out of the ordinary. _Jibrille_ was talking about my wedding here, we ended up spending well over the amount of coins it should have taken and well over the amount of summons it should have taken. Guess whatever it takes to make a lady happy huh b:chuckle Either way they are sending us new fashion packs...but it was still a pain in the **** and WAY more expensive then it should have been. I'm pretty sure the whole chapel thing is super glitchy...I bet the GM's just sit there and watch us suffer while eating popcorn and drinking slushies.
