So its been officially 6 weeks now since i decided to R9 my first toon. I took my friends' advice and am loading up my boutique bank with gold in wait of a rank sale.

Six weeks is a long time, and the excitement is starting to wear off. Two other friends of mine are also waiting with wallets ready. And other randoms in squad who I tell this too are also waiting.

GMs, WE NEED A RANK SALE! The rich and spoiled R9R3s are starting to dominate the servers again. Give the rest of us a chance to catch up so we can have real competitions in TW and NW. Let's have some even battles so all of us can have some fun.

    I can understand your basic point, but you're just trying to break yourself to match the broken. Don't hold your fun hostage to the cash shop. Get Nirvana S3, and if that's not good enough, then just accept that PVP in this game is broken and that R9S3 should never have existed in the first place. :-/

    I hope you had invested wisely that gold you are stocking up now.

    Because in case there is a rank sale, they prolly, just prolly wont do a GSt sale at the same time.

    Now if they do ,then you are a lucky one :3

    It's why i edited. Wrote and published faster than my thinking.

    What i meant to say was let's not let this game be dominated by just gear alone -- which is basically what's happening. For example, all these "point-and-shoot" R9R3 archers who don't understand squad about when to use Take Aim or Aim Low need to be taught a lesson that it's more than just about gear. Give us a chance to even the playing field on the gear aspect, so the real class pros can dominate as they deserve.

    Not everyone is willing to dish out their hard earned money to keep up with the rich.

    I find it funny you're argument for "real" competition to R9s3 is to join them in breaking whatever is left of the pvp experience, and hilarious that you say "all of us" when what you really mean is just you. You want to be R9? That's fine with me. It's your money. But don't use the argument that it's going to bring fairness and competition back to the game. That being said, you're still going to be punked unless you also saved up the gold to make all your gear at least +10. So that's a few hundred for +10 Orbs on top of what you already have lined up. I hope you feel its worth it in the end. The way the game is going you will probably find later on down the road that that money and time could have been put to far better use.

    um... why are you putting words in my mouth? That highlight in orange is not what I said... NOR WHAT I MEANT. What do you think you are? A mind reader? I can have lots of fun just fine with my "lesser" gear and do lots of damage. But I also have to keep up with the game, and I'm not willing to pull out my wallet to do it.

    Just want a rank sale to help me get up to speed with the endgamers so im not one-shot by high-geared rich nabs.

    Who says you need to keep up with the R9S3's? They're going to be an unholy broken mess with or without your participation. If you can have fun with your current gear, why don't you? What's more fun - doing what you can with what you have, or begging PWE for rep sales?

    I am a 3rd cast r9 archer... don't recall the last time I used full channel take aim and I hardly use aim low at all. With your train of thought... you are going to be just as useless in rank gear as you are in tt gear.

    I don't have to read minds to understand what you are saying, despite your attempt to mask it by arguing its for the good of everyone. But just to be fair, what did you mean? Because I can see no other meaning it the statements you posted.

    You call R9s3's rich nabs yet you want to be one? *facepalm* R9s3s are people who are willing to pay for what Perfect World is willing to give them. Nothing more, nothing less. Whatever else they may be is determined strictly by their other actions in the playing environment, and, in your case, on the forums. Yah I know a few a-hole R9's but I also know some pretty darn good ones.

    In the end, throwing money at PWI so you can "play better" will only be a temporary fix. They already have more OP gear lined up for those who are wiling to give them the money and put in the time to "farm" it. But as I said, if that's what you want then by all means, go ahead. It won't change anything, it will just continue the arms race that PWE has turned this once great game into.

    OK you guys, i realize i took a pot shot at R9R3's in my OP, so I probably deserve getting dragged into this drama in the first place. I was already in a pissy mood today, I'm sorry.

    Honestly, I just want a rank sale. I have farmed and farmed and faithfully saved up gold in my boutique bank. I'm excited to have my first R9 toon and find out what it's like. That's all really.

    If you're offended, I get it. I'll go take a break and cool off.

    take aim... one shot... are we back in the days of 2009 again. someone is a bit late... or very late to the party. take aim is a waste of 3 seconds when everyone and their dog's flee has over 10k hp.

    You wanna one-shot someone, roll a wizard. Archers aren't designed for one-shots (unless the target is some random 9x noob) and you're talking complete garbage.

    I'm hoping we get a rank sale soon as well, not because I want to buy it. The price of gold on Archosaur server has dropped so low it's not even worth selling, if we get a rank sale I'm hoping it will at least drive the price of gold up over 1 mil coin. As is I'm sitting on a bunch of gold that I can't sell and am getting low on coin.
