Logging in issues, bans (not discussing them)

When banned <--(note: changed by moderator) the next logical step is to log into pwi and send in a ticket. Apparently the log in info was not recognised, and no ticket could be sent. I know the email address is

customerservice@perfectworld.com

A user who can not log in to send a ticket, only has one option, there is a question that says "banned account" in support as the top 3 topics. It would make things easier for such customers if they had accecss to a direct email address as well.

I am not asking others why, how, when or any detail of their bans, i just want to know how your experience was in getting yourself unbanned? Would the above email address being readily available have helped you out? Would a telephone number be more of an accommodation to get the ban sorted?

I know from my personal tickets, most of the time the answers do not make sense b:chuckle. Sometimes they do b:victory. But i have never had a serious issue like a ban, so i don't know how others feel about their experience.

Trying to tiptoe as much as I can so the thread is not locked, just curious about this aspect of pwi. I know people get banned all the time (some of +1's are in those threads), but we rarely ever hear back on the review of the ordeal.

I say mister It's going to be tricky.

Not discussing bans in a thread about oneself un-banning experience, that's it.

i hope you accomplish your mission.

    That is all :3

A fried got auto IP ban for a year from switching from her laptop to her desktop. Next logical step is to log into pwi and send in a ticket. Apparently the log in info was not recognised, and no ticket could be sent. I know the email address is

instead of a food pun, i'm going to post something relevant so this don't get locked.

i think the information provided to address bans and account problems is a bit confusing. at one point i thought i got banned or something (i wasn't) but finding the best way to answer my question was pretty difficult.

PWI can email me everytime i level a toon to 30, so its proof the game and their ability to trigger an email are connected. why aren't bans then capable of triggering an email that gives some sort of general explanation as to why you can't log in. it would take a lot of the anxiety away from these sorts of thing.

Yes, you would think that if you got banned, the GM that banned you, or even an automated system, would e-mail you information about it. Particularly, reason, ban date, and length of the ban.

    +1
I really do think there ought to be either an automated email or staff requirement to give us this information when it happens.

I do have to agree. While normally I would not be concerned about getting banned myself, I do on occasion hear about "accidental bannings" where it turns out the person in question had done absolutely nothing wrong and it was lifted immediately. So in this case anyone could be at risk, and it only makes sense for them to send out an email to make things able to be resolved quicker. Especially since a lot of people don't really know anything about ticketing or the support section.

Hehe I have to agree with you there. While I personally have gotten lots of issues resolved via tickets, sometimes their initial reply is ridiculous. Like when I sent a ticket about having 100k points at my wedding but not receiving the fashion... the first reply (not the automated one) stated that lots of people were having issues with booking a wedding time and they were working to resolve that. Makes me wonder if they just saw the word "wedding" and tossed out the response they were using in all of the other wedding related tickets.

As far as know, discussing bans in general is still okay. But please refrain from discussing any specific bans based on this:

    http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=17224431&postcount=3

So please refrain from discussing whether or not you were banned, if it's happened multiple times, why you or a friend was banned, how long it has lasted, etc and this thread can remain open.

    Thanks venus.

From what I gather, even though the system is suppose to send an email outlining the reason for the ban, most users do not receive such an email. It is a mighty scary experience to get banned and have no way of knowing why, the aggravation is eye opening. Users tend to invest quite a bit of time, effort, in-game/real money on their characters, and just to see them suddenly go poof b:shocked b:cry.

Has anyone had to miss their wedding due to a wrong autoban? (not talking about the ban, just missing the wedding due to being banned in that duration). I hope the GMs are kind enough to rectify such a situation. A wedding is the only situation that is two player dependent and requires other people's willing participation. BH, weekly, cube, daily stuff can be done another time, but a wedding....?

Also just a quick side note: Some of the tickets are getting categorized to other games. If you send a ticket and choose pwi, the system will classify it as another game, they are looking into it, so if you have current tickets, keep a look out for such a thing. Maybe that is why we get interesting replies, the replying folks from different games put their hands in the hat and pull out tickets b:dirty, just kidding. It is a thankless job.

Just a note- even a banned account can log into the "support" tab at the very top of the PWI page. So it's still possible to put in a ticket, if say, you can't get to the email used to create the account for some reason.

If you want to talk ridiculous login issues, I have a friend who's been unable to log in game on his main account for a full month. He can log and post in these forums just fine and he can log an alt account for buffs and talking ****, but apparently even the support staff can't log his account in game. Yes yes he and they have tried all the usual, changing password, making it shorter/simpler, had the GM's give him a temp ban then unban, waited out several maintenances...this is just absurd. That's a lot of NW's and TW's to be missing out on, plus all the weekly events.

I think I ought to mail him a new video card and a copy of the sequel to the game where guilds have large fights.

This is true. Furthermore the people who respond to these tickets are actually able to help you, unlike, say, the rather more useless people that you contact by emailing customerservice@perfectworld.com

I'm a little late but no, both of you are wrong. Every time I have been banned I was unable to log on and use support to send a ticket.

I have always had to use a second account to send a ticket or email them directly.

I personally try to get out of my ban. It's going very hard though.

Also they do not believe any of you arguments, and have no desire to get you out of ban.
