As a long time player, i have always been critical of the so called "Weekend Warrior". Sadly, as much of the game has become grindy to me and the fun parts seem just to be on the weekend, I have become a weekend warrior. I'm curious how many of yaal log on during the week or are you just on for Tw/NvN?

    I play through the week. There's much more (for me) to do than just NW.

    I'm becoming a weekend warrior. I try to do BH's and some dailies during the week, but since it's damn near impossible to form a squad for any of my lower level toons I'm losing a lot of faith in the games community.

    And you never stopped to ask yourself if that might be a sign that you're a giant freaking nerd if you feel it justified to criticize people for having other stuff to do/being busy during the week/not wanting to waste their lives' killing mindless mobs for hours on end just to get 40% exp?

    Ijs...I mean the REASON I play PWI is because it gives me a chance to have a social game to play without having it become detrimental to my studies by demanding too much of my time.

    Here are some options:

    a: Find a better guild

    I find Harshlands is pretty...alive. I have yet to find a real reason to actually leave. The community is alright, so long as you avoid "those" guilds that are the snobbary elitist types.

    I'd say find a guild that has a closely knit, family type thing if you're feeling like you don't have anything to play for. I know personally I've been busting my proverbial balls trying to build up my toon so that I can do something worthwhile for people going into my guild. Even if you are already built up, like some people I know, it's actually really fulfilling to help people out who need the support.
    I don't know, it's just like...the bonds I've grown through the guild that selected me has really profoundly influenced the reason why I play this game. It's more than just...you know, a guild sometimes--it's a group of people who really care about one another, and it makes you...well, play the game with them more. You just start to go beyond the boundaries of the game itself, you know?
    That's what I love about guilds. That, to me, is what guilds are supposed to be.

    Yeah, this game has about as much endgame excitement as my buttcrack, but you have to make the best of it. Some of it is the player's fault, and some of it's the developers fault. We just have to make due. This really was a good game, and it has the ability to be a great game again...as soon as someone actually puts sugar in the developing team's coffee instead of cocaine. >.>

    Until then, there's things you can find to do with other people. Ask around. Offer help in WC--people will take you up on it. I personally find helping lowbies (ACTUAL lowbies, mind you,) is rather heartwarming and makes a person feel all fuzzy inside.
    ....of course, I'm a giant purple carebear. It's not everybody's style. b:chuckle

    But if someone doesn't make a gesture towards NOT being a bad community member, who will, you know? Forming a good community again begins with an act of good will towards someone else. I'm not saying throw gold at people for no reason, but...a little act of kindness, you know?
    PWI: Constantly **** you in the **** so much you can't sit to play anymore. No wonder people are so butthurt.

    Everyone has a different style of game play, at times, they log on daily, other times, they log on like once a week. For some reason, "weekend warriors" get a lot of hate for no explainable reason on HT. Either way, it's their time, you can form an opinion about it, but that's about it.

    As for me, I log on daily for anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. It's the weekend where I'm online much more, for TW/NW, because I have more free time.

    Right now just Morai for BM and cleric to get skills done, and cube on cleric for xp. Other than that it's NW and sometimes an event. Do some AoE grinding with hyper on cleric on spiders until I get the last 15% to hit 101, then even that will stop.

    I log in when I can, when I don't have other more enjoyable things to do with my free time, and to play the game with friends I have yet to meet face to face, of which some I do plan to meet. I could honestly care less about TW, as most of the players that are in TW factions are WC whining, pseudo baby tools with a "look at me I'm so pro" mentality. Don't really care about NW but some nights its enjoyable.

    But like any decent MMO, it eventually reaches its pinnacle and begins a steady decline, which PWI has been doing for a while. It needs incentives for attracting new players.

    I log in pretty much daily. I am in a TW faction and I log in for that - even though I don't really care for it. I have plenty of alts who still need things and lots in the game I have yet to achieve - I'm still having lots of fun :)

    I log in every other day, sometimes not bothering to open the client at all for weeks. I remember those days when I used to log in daily and not get bored ~_~ Now I just mostly afk, talk with friends, and do an occasional bh if someone drags me along.

    Usually log on every day for BH and morai. Apart from that however I'm finding myself sorely at a loss for things to do. Lately I've been doing FCC for an alt, but any time I take a break from it I find myself just hanging around arch trying to find something fun without much success. I have great friends, but sadly both my factions are fairly dead and only 3-4 friends play regularly any more. Forming a 6 player squad from friends/faction is becoming increasingly rare. Nothing really happens in wc beside bh, maybe the odd full warsong. Vana's dead, Delta is pretty much dead, TT isn't worth it and it cuts down a lot of options.

    I honestly can't see myself playing long term more than a few months unless we get new content, incentive for new players, or a revamp of the old content.

    I log on when I get the chance and do whatever I feel like at the moment. In some cases it's just to check catshops, others it's to genuinely have fun with whatever. Totally depends.

    I still try and get on atleast once every other day Nowadays and will once again, once I get my Gaming Comps {starter registry} back up & running, since {PWi} crashed my comp so hard it was D**n Near terminal {b:flower\b:fatb/b:flower} a few days ago (So much so that I couldn't even use the 'Emergency Startup Recovery Mode' for it, For 2 Friggen Days!??!?!!)...b:surrender



    ^v^ WTG! Wanmei Programmers & {Pwe}!! You guys & you're Server tower setups and Glitchy Programming, actually succeeded at killing my comp wayyy harder then even a Freaking industrial strength Virus on GODZILLA SiZeD! SssTERIODzzZ....b:laugh

    With 200 euros a month I cant afford to put money in the game so I play everyday after work many hours. Me, my wife and my brother. I do BH, sometimes few FC runs, solo TT and many more stuff and in week-ends I go to NW (is at 3AM my time) and that is about it, just TT, FC and BH. I sell FC heads and sell TT mats for coins. If you are rich, you buy some packs and put yourself CATSHOP and no need to farm all those, maybe just go for fun at NW and BH. I love this game and I did not miss 1 day for more then 3 years. To bad there are not much things to farm because herbs are so expensive to buy, you spend more then win. So for me is not a week-end game b:pleased

    Ummm....so wouldn't it make sense to farm the herbs then? I know people who would farm those and make 1-2 mil an hour, and the worth of those herbs haven't dropped since then. It's boring as heck, but unless you can beat the rate not much reason to farm something else.
