Take a class you like to play and that you are good at.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I speak from zero PvP experience only reading the forums.
Barbs seem te have an advantage in NW especially when its about undergeared chars because the reward depends for a big part on the damage you absorb. Some guy recently made a tread about how he did NW with a lvl 60 barb in dreamchaser equipment. Appearently you could do pretty well with nirvana armor and a pickaxe.
Of course that is not the best teamspirit way of thinking and it doesnt help a lot in increasing the chances that your team is gonna win.
Again, speaking from zero experience but just using my immagination, i think a HA veno might be usefull for the team effort when you are non R9. Maybe someone can confirm this or tell me im wrong, cuz i have started building a veno for this reason. Seems to me like it could be fun and helpfull just to run around the battlefield purging and amping everyone so your teams R9s will beat the oppositions R9s more easilly.0 -
The barb's advantage does have a certain curve to where it is no longer worth doing that way though. The lower the price of supply tokens are on that particular server, it will eventually reach a point that charm cost outweighs any potential benefit. It will differ by server, but some of the ones with Rap prices below 90K are likely in that range already.0

People will just stop to go charm, there's no obligation to be charm.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I would say barb or archer.
A full g16 archer with moderate refines and good skills will do fairly well.0 -

Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]

LigerKing (Barb), Girasole (BM), Shamsheer (Sin), ArborSoul (Mystic).0 -
Definitely a barb. I go into NW with my main char- a seeker, and a side char - that being my barb. All I do on my barb is hop from map to map and press a macro key config. to using defense skills to take damage. Earn extra tokens without hardly trying on a barb.0

You kinda didn't disagree with me, since going without a charm means you aren't absorbing damage. Not anywhere to the degree playing with a charm can. And they will not gain the same level of contri going without.0 -

I can heal myself I don't really care, charm don't save me from 1 shot anyway.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Barbs can indeed soak up damage which only benefits your score, much more than DDing at people too.
Offensive wise, any range class.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

After trying nearly every class in NW, I can say that a barb has an advantage in terms of building points. Reason being as stated by many, a large portion of your points comes from taking damage, and if you cycle your defensive skills such as solid shield, invoke etc, it's not that hard(depending on your gear) to walk away from NW with quite a bit of contribution.
For example my barb is not nearly as well geared as I would like him to be, simply just s3 Nirvana, but that is enough to allow me to score usually 5k-10k depending on my nation, base locking and so forth. That usually is 75 tokens on a bad day and 100+ on a good day easily.
But if you are looking for an offensive advantage, any ranged class by far is the way to go. Archers if geared properly are extremely deadly in NW for any squishy especially arcane players. Also due to their amount of anti stun skills they also make good flag carriers in almost any battle scenario.
Also about charms, it really is up to you, try and work out potential profits based on your servers rapture and canny prices. But I would honestly recommend doing NW with a charm, it really can be a life saver in a stun lock situation by multiple people when your genie is on CD, and it allows you to soak up more damage for points. This is all assuming of course you did not get 1 shot ^^.0 -
Moved to PvP area.
The post above me answers things well for NW in general, so I won't repeat what's already been said.(Insert fancy image here)0 -
If I am lucky, I can get 20m+ per NW weekend, excluding expenses. The only reason not to choose barb is if you'd prefer an archer, or that barbs are expensive characters and require a lot of tanking to level up (Repair bills...), so if you had a fund it would be obliterated by Skill costs, Tank costs, Gear costs and so on and so forth.
Tankster out![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
