Your post is making me really confused about unicode encodings now... not everything is utf-8 the forum likes iso-8859-1...
the forums truncate lots of message that contain special characters so I'm trying to do everything in simple HTML escaped ascii but it's confusing.

It's actually a bug in the forums search not sweetiebot.

Normally when searching by titles the search ignores all 3 letter words or fewer. This sucks when the title is composed only of 3-letter words.
To prevent it from searching word by word you put the whole thread title in quotes.. ie "New skill & new pets-upgrades discussion"

That works for other threads but it won't work for this thread.
You can try it yourself with the quotes, it won't find it.

The problem is that the & is a special character in HTML so it gets changed into its HTML code &
When you do a search though you should treat that as a real & but they forgot to do that.

So to actually find your thread you have to do a search like this:
"New skill & new pets-upgrades discussion"

I think this is like the 4th forum bug that sweetiebot has found... though the others are pretty much corrupted data.
