    Quest guides

Apart from that; get a pickaxe and dig up everything you come across. Make an alt account that you can use to store and merch stuff.

Join a faction so they can help you with the difficult stuff that needs a squad.

Frost Covered City Head mobs. After you run the instance, you are rewarded with mobs that gives a lot of exp when killed. Combine with hyper exp stone and you'll be powerleveling like a boss.

Pay attention to world chat, as they are often offered there around 200k-400k, or you can save 1 million coins and pay someome to do a solo run for you.

Sadly, now FC heads is the norm to lvl up since no one is doing quests anymore besides daily Bounty Hunters, and even those are hard to get unless it's a BH 100.

If you want to have a fun game, ignore what that Frigole said. Take charly+2 advice. The thing is, this is an old game, it doesnt draw many new players and most characters being leveled are additional characters for existing players. These players power level their chracters to lvl 100 in a week or so without doing the quests. Unfortunately, the game development is directed to these players, so as a new player who wants to do the quest, you are gonna be a bit short on money if you dont as suggested, take that pickaxe and pickup everything you find to sell it. Also it may be hard to find other players to do quests with since everyone is power leveling.

As for the normal going for new players who just want to experience an MMORPG:

Most players start out doing general quests for the first 40-50 levels. Get a bit bored by it then but are happy to discover there is the Goshiki quest chain to help them another 10 levels. After that may come the deciding point in your PWI future. This is the lvl 50-75 area. Are you getting bored with the quests and do you quit ? Do you keep questing and life a PWI live happy and oblivious of what is going on around you, or do you get help leveling your character any further and slowly roll into the powerleveling ways.

lvl 75 and up is generally done with FC. Either you pay for it and have it done fast, or you do it with a squad and sometimes have a lot of fun and sometimes a lot of anoyance.

about the gear, you will in the beginning get your gear from quests. Gradually you will change to buying your gears from other players and farming to make your own.
At what levels you do this depends on your play style and the financian status that comes with that. I am a trader by nature, and indeed starting picking up and selling everything including that which other players left on the floor after their kills. Because of this, i bought an amazing weapon when i was level 30 as i knew i would sell it later at a profit. For that to happen however, you need to first get some coin and then learn about the economy and prices so you know what to pay for things and sell at profit later. This way you can stay on top with your gear and make money in the process. If you want to invest time in doing this, you could start doing this somewhere in the level 30-40 range or so. But mostly it is done starting at lvl 60-70 where the so called TT gears come into play. Until then, you can just use what quests provide you and buy some of the purple stuff in the AH when its at a good price.

what do they do after they are lvl 100?

Then they will spend their time improving their equipment to a level where they can pvp and not be killed by anyone in 1 shot. Since as i said this game is old, people who have been playing long have very powerfull equipment and it is not easy to be even remotely competetive with them. A casual player will never reach that level. You can reach that level in 3 ways:
    -Spending 5000+ dollars.
-Spending 1000s of hours farming the high level instances.
-Spending your time buying stuff cheap and selling it at a profit. Called "merchanting".

A bit more about this i have posted here

It all depends on what you want of the game. Do you want to enjoy the graphics, the quests etc or do you want to be kicking *** in PvP ? Do you play 10 hours a week or 100 ?

After lvl 100 they run instances and events to farm a suitable endgame gear or merchant it or cash shop it. Then they start PKing. Nation Wars is quite profitable PVP even without pro gear if you know some strategies and dont spend too much money for it. This event you can start 60+.

As for gear, buy a pickaxe and grab the materials you see around. Level up the taylor, craftsman and blacksmith crafing skill and you can get cheap & decent gear to deal with regular mobs.

If you have done quests, by level 30 you should have enough reputation to buy lvl 1 rank gear whne you get to Archosaur. Mostly is chest & legs, but those are good enough and better than crafted gear.

Also some quests gives pieces of gear and weapons, so it is always good idea to do quests in the lower leves since those gears are in general better compared to crafted ones (unles they are the 3-star purple ones).

Once you reach lvl 40 and you start doing Bounty Hunters, as part of the rewards you'll get a divine order item to get extra quests from the Divine emissaries. From time to time you'll get a pruple quest that gives you a divine order (light, shadow, void). Save them cause you can trade them for legendary weapons by speaking with the emissary of the void. This should be your main source of fresh weaponry till lvl 90 when you are forced to switch to Twilight Temple weapons.

Also when you are 20+ you can get a divine token and do the divine quests for a chance to get the orders.

Oh, and since PWI nerfed DQ items value, you will find hard to get money till you reach level 75+ when lvl 81+ DQ items are drop.

After lvl 80 you can start grind mobs to get more money and buy already improved gear from other people or buy the materials and craft it yourself. This will be the norm till you reach lvl 100, and probably you'll be more aware on how the game works, and start merchanting and gathering the materials by yourself.

I would say do not go near FC until you are lvl70 at least.

With current quests and free gears it take 2-3weeks max to get to lvl70. Do all the quests and you'll earn at least 3m during that time just from the quests. Heck, when I started a BM recently I spent 1hr doing quests at about lvl 6x and made 500k just from those quests.

There is a phrase you will hear a lot; 'FC babies'. They are the people who bought experience by paying for FC heads. Regardless of the gear they have they have absolutely no idea how to play their class.

    Dunno why you'd think that.

Running dungeon squads with faction members is still just as much fun as always.
