Best BM 100 build/gear

Good evening everyone,

Now here's the thing, let's say that I managed to reach lvl 100 on a BM and I would like to ask your opinion about a good and cheap build so that I can get some money from (like farming and such...)

I was thinking about doing a int build, but I'm not quite sure it is the best option.

However I'll leave you guys with an example of what I was/am thinking about:

What do you mean by farming? What instance do you want to farm? How much investment are you looking to put into your bm before you want to see returns?

It would be the first time I'd have a lvl 100 BM so, I really don't know which instances are the best to farm... (Any ideads/suggestions about that as well?)

And as long as the investment part goes... around 150M up to 170M...

Tricky question still. Sorry for not answering straight away, lots of variables involved.

If you go aps, how high will you refine? If you go non aps, how high will you refine?

Non aps = better everything, but slower at killing bosses to not being able to kill bosses alone.

Aps = lower hp relatively, defenses are worse, but ability to kill bosses more easily.

Most people carry both sets, for pve, pvp, pulling, aoe tanking.

The above gets more complicated, are you soloing things, or going with others? If going with others are you tank? If you are tank, do you have cleric heals, bp, mystic heals? or nothing? If going alone, do you have bp and other buffs?

Personally if you have another main, i would keep the money for that main. Use the bm to run extra bh for more money rewards. Don't need op gear for bh, or be aps. Just be a decent bm and you can do the bh.

Aps classes = heavy investment before you start making money in a solo way. Much cheaper to go a squad way and make money.

My bm can tank 3-1 bosses with my friends, but my hp is too low. I can tank all 2-3 bosses and below in tt.

I can tank all warsong bosses with bp and buffs.

I can tank all lunar bosses with bp and buffs.

I cannot tank aba or seat bosses, but we kill them fast, so doesn't matter.

I have g16+10 claws., 5 aps.

If you spend 150~170m on your main, you can refine the gear to +10, if it is +10, you can +11 the gear.

Previously people wanted aps characters, because of vana runs. Vana is dead, most people solo farm tt instances. Solo farming requires 400m~2b coin investment. After investing that much, it takes lots of runs before you make a profit.

Also try out the bm, see if you like it. One friend used to be an awesome cleric, veno, but she loves her bm now. Another friend prefers his cleric over the bm. It's about play styles.

Thank you for the enlightment... and here's what I've figured out so far...

I was thinking about going aps, because I think/thought it is/was the easiest way to make some money in dungeons overall...

I'm sort of new to the game, seeing I stopped playing for about a year and a half, and I barely know anyone now. However I have a lvl 7X sin as well as a lvl 8X cleric that can give me their buffs...

And honestly, I was thinking about making the BM my main character, and then having iit help lvling another classes I might want to have at a high lvl as well.

If you can tank all those TT's (with a squad), do you think it is safe to say, that's a sure/fast way to get some money?
Also, what do you think about the NW (as an aps class), as a way to make some money? Is it worth it?

Personally most of us would advise again LA ornaments. They do not help.

If you plan on using your bm to lvl other characters, i would say focus on the sin a bit. So the sin can solo fcc. Most sins can clear fcc faster than bm, because they can stealth through, just kill bosses, and open the experience room. It takes my sin about 15~20 minutes to clear fcc to get to the exp room.

Nation war = non aps gear your best friend, pvp = non aps gear. Pvp = using skills. I run around in claws mostly because my axes are bad right now, so i aps things around me, but i switch to axes when conditions change. Most would recommend to keep axes, better that way.

TT problem = getting a squad together, sure i can tank it, i can tank all bosses in tt with bb up, but the problem is getting the other 3~5 people to come along. More people = smaller split.

Personally i would recommend this build http://pwcalc.com/f71e7b8dea353f08. The g16 weapon will take some time to acquire, but well worth the effort. Don't refine it too high, if your hp is low, it will cause you to pull agro. Only reason i tank most bosses is because i keep agro, not because i am good. Tanking is over rated as well.

TT 2-3 and below = easy to farm, bosses are not werid, can kill with deicides. TT 3-1, there are easy bosses and hard bosses, the hard bosses require knowledge, experience, gear to kill them.

Depending on how much you love this game, another option to farm good amounts of token from NW. Make a barb, if you are intent on making tt gear, make the barb on the same account on as the bm. If you make lunar gear can make barb on any account.

Make full g15/g16 gear for the barb, and use the barb for NW. NW = score based on damage taken and damage dealt, biased towards damage taken. A barb can take more damage than a bm can, even with bad gear. A suggestion, mind you, i don't have the patience to lvl many alts, even though they are all in their 70's.

Before you make a choice, make sure you understand the difference between bound and not bound gear. I always recommend not bound gear, because you can sell it afterwards. Bound gear can never be sold to other players. Non bound gear = usually more expensive to acquire compared to bound gear.

My bm has only bound gear, but bm does not share the gear, so i am fine with it. Other alts have all unbound gear, because if i ever want to sell things off, i can get my money and put it in the bm.

Read other topics on the bm forum, quite a few topics discuss the issue of gear progression, end game gear, weapon choices, aps set, pvp set things like that.

well im not thinking about making a sin cuz i prefer bm's even when u say that they are better on doing fccs etc.

Your barb idea is great but i dont know if im ready to make a barb ''just'' for NW you know..( but i will think about ur plan ^^ )

About the gear , well i dont have money to afford that tome but i like the gear overall. just curious about the neck do you think is the best out there? im making questions cuz im noobie not because i dont believe in you

Actually, your first attempt was pretty accurate. Only thing I'd change is the the TT Nirvana pants for Lunar Nirvana. They will be 5-10m more but give you more physical defense, especially at lower refines. Lunar has 33% higher base def. Also, if you ever do decide to r9 the Lunar is tradable. Of course, you may want to pair this up with a Lunar helm, also, which again is 5-10m more than the TT version. There is a 5 attack level bonus for 2 pieces of G15 Nirvana. On the other hand, a G16 helm would give you strength and refine for more hp. Kind of balances out.

Not sure whether to recommend G16 claws or to stick with Regicides or Deicides. If you went G16 it'd cost more but even at 4.0 G16 will out DD Deicides, then you're set for when you get a tome to be 5.0 However, for soloing and squad support 5 aps is great. Spark resisting special boss attacks is a talent needed for soloing, and sometimes that takes quick chi building.

If you plan on pking you will want a second set. You can get -int sets that are as good as R9, but you can't get -int as good as r9r or r9t3.

The best realistic aps gear would be something like this: http://pwcalc.com/3da88dde55b28a05 Speaking of, check out the cape in that. Depending on farming, it can be cheaper than a Wing Trophy, refines better, and can take G13 shards.

They may be better, but they don't sell for much. Ask around though.

Reason why most go with tt99 bracers is the extra -int bonus from having 2 items in the set.

id keep em around for a bit if you are farming warsong for molds. Maybe the HA bracer drops and you got some use for it.
In G16 it is much more usefull as there are probably enough people who want the full set now. Or maybe you want to have the full set yourself someday. For when you're using your axe instead of aps.
