Problems with PWI on Mac.

Hello!

I managed to get PWI working on my Mac last night, but upon logging in to the game I noticed that some of the images for my spells/items have been replaced with a question mark, making it difficult to see what I'm using.

I verified the files both after download and during installation and everything came back fine, so can anyone tell me any other possible causes? Or, better still, a solution?

Any suggestions would be wonderful, thank you! :)

well that really depends on how you are running it. I tried using a vm, and other tricks and the only way i got pwi to run good and correctly is to boot natively into win 7. once you have windows installed natively using boot camp, replace the graphic and audio drivers that apple gave u with the pc versions. once i did that everything was hunky dory. b:bye

It would be helpful to know what method you are using to run it on your Mac (because there are many), and exactly what steps you have taken.
Take the time to look for your answer before you post like an idiot.

I downloaded the game through uTorrent and then installed and ran it through CrossOver, purely because that was the simplest set of instructions that I found.

I've never run any PC games on my Mac before, so this is all new to me b:surrender

That probably explains how you ended up with a Mac.

There's a few threads hanging around here about how to get it running. But, if you are going to insist on playing a game on an unsupported system, you are going to have to start learning the tech really fast because you are going to have to be able to understand and implement what people are telling you.

Alternatively, sell the Mac and get a real PC. No offense to Mac users intended, but it's not a mainstream OS. If you want to actually run 95% of the software out there, you need Windows. It's sad, but true.

I think what he means to say is that if you want to get games/programs like this to run on your Mac, you are going to need to get techy.

The alternative is to go mainstream.
It is very possible to get Win7 for about $30 and dual-boot. It's the easiest solution, but will still require some technical knowledge.

I totally understand that I will have to get techy, that's exactly why I asked for advice. b:victory

Like I said, I'm new to this, so I figured the best place to start would be getting advice from people with more experience with it than me. We all have to start somewhere, right? b:surrender
